I ended up with a typical change of plan .... ate the chicken in the end. It was cooked, might as well :)

Served it simply, with boiled spuds and carrots.... made the gravy with the fats/juices.

It was ..... gorgeous. Plain, simple.... but a welcome change.

    Good morning everyone,
Apologies for the Greggs cravings and burnt pizza :o;)
I'm not CFO today and it will be nice to be catered for this evening. I didn't bother with breakfast so I'm hungry now so off to make some toast:)

Damn, now I will have to look for them. The only slice / bake or any item I have ever had from Gregg's was a few years back, in Portsmouth, cold and breezy, fancied something easy & warming. Tried a meat slice thingy. It was hunt the meat, and I have never bothered since then. Maybe give them another go with the cheese version?

However, opposite our local Gregg's is a new Noodle bar, no idea what that will entail, but may just give it a bash when it opens soon

Being a baldy hair cuts are way back in history, I gave up when they got to a fiver and decided to bodge it myself with a trimmer thingy, number one, all over, beard & top once a week. Job done :D

Into Asda mooch this morning, after a breakfast of a bacon sandwich, last rasher used and gone until a bacon urge comes along again. Oiked Aug 2016 frozen M & S bangers out to defrost on counter top

Temptation with a YS rash this morning. First up was one of Mary Berry's super duper choccy cake, £1.25 half price. Bit of an indulgence for me, never normally buy cakes because they are like biscuits, just get quickly scoffed

Then they had clear out Angel Delights at 30p, having had the craving triggered by reading on here, I scooped up 2 choccy ones. Not had Angel Delight for over 30 years, long dated so now "in stock" for when I fancy one :o

On the healthy side I did buy a YS pot of cottage cheese, 10p, so the mooch not entirely calorie laden

Lunch was two of the defrosted bangers in a sandwich
Followed by, you guessed it, a slice of Mary's choc cake. Lovely, only about 5000 calories

Dinner tonight is warm it up for one, the last two of the bangers, with instant mash & tin of baked beans
Pud probably stewed apple & yoghurt, with overtones of Mary's cake lurking in the background

We are terrible for encouraging each other to eat stuff :rotfl: shame we can't all reminisce about healthier stuff!

Please can you save me some of Queen Mary Berry's cake?

You know something was good when the memory of eating it 10+ hours ago is still making you feel all happy and inner-satisfied :)

    That chicken's a keeper. 4ldi/frozen/£2.50.

I've popped to the fridge and had a cheeky nibble of a cold piece pulled from what was remaining.... the rest I'll cut in half and indulge myself... rather than stretching it to 3 meals. It was really moist and the texture was really nice.

I used the stock to make the gravy, so still got a pot of that too.

I am the same with a chicken crown/breast like that. I go back to the fridge and keep cutting slices off and eating it like you are. Because I do that I usually only get two meals out of one the same as you :). Nice though :D
