I woke up early again and had water with a squeezed lemon and then water with milk thistle extract. I'm having a blood test tomorrow and one of the things being tested is my liver!:D Milk thistle is meant to be great to detoxify.

I then had two slices of WM toast with some lovely raspberry jam I got from a Turkish supermarket along with some Whole Earth smooth peanut butter. Yummy.:)

    Morning All

Porridge and a pear for breakfast today, I really must get back into the habit of having that more often. I picked up some nice cold meat, radishes and beansprouts yesterday so I'll have a crunchy Asian style salad for lunch. Fish pie with steamed cabbage & kale for tea.

Forecast not looking good here today but checked the map for 10mls down the road and it says dry so may just head off there.

just to make it clear, I was laughing at pasture`s post, earthy as usual :)

I just went through my fridge and rescued 2 packs of goats cheese, mature, firm and so I grated it, kept some out for my quiche and froze the rest. Lots of blackcurrants out to defrost before a light cook. ready for solo crumbles. I also decided to make raspberry/blueberry compote to go in the fridge for a few days. I love delving into my food stash, I absolutely need to see it go down

Got to change now, it is very windy again, the yellow warning type. I need to find something to do indoors, maybe freezer sorting for starters
  • Mr Costcutter - I don't think anyone has been saying anything remiss.

I think Apji has picked up by now that we are wishing him well/giving what helpful comments we can for his life now - and is joining in in the right spirit:)

I know I'm pleased to see his comments about seeing his friend/his relatives/generally getting "out there" and making new friends. Wishing him well in all this...

    Good Morning to all.

Another rainy day, but at least Eleanor has departed. I seem to have lost a couple of fence panels and so something else to sort out, but not until the weather has settled.

Mr Costcutter, thanks for your support, but I took the comments with good humour, and everyone here has been extremely kind. It was just a bit of fun and we all need that sometimes. With respect to the royalties. There are set dates, but they aren't always met, and the overseas payments are problematic at times. Completing tax returns is a nightmare lol

Breakfast this morning was an omelette - much better than the first one I made :). This was followed by a couple of clems. I will have to put my thinking cap on as what to eat later on.

Wednesday, I hope your blood test goes well and the results are good for you.

How lovely I`m sure you made this ladys day not only coming to her rescue but sharing time for a meal with her too. It must have given her great pleasure.

Thank you Meg. Spending time with this lady was an absolute pleasure. She's what I would call a very good story teller. I was fascinated to hear about her mother who seems to have led a remarkable life.
Anyway, I will be returning as she needs quite a few diy jobs completing :)

    A lovely reply Meg.

Sorry, but those of you who have been laughing and poking fun at a chap who has just lost his wife isn't funny, it's extremely
    unkind.

Thank you but I have to say I think you have misunderstood the posts you think are unkind. I appreciated the humour especially at this time of year when its so easy to feel sad thinking of lost loved ones the chance to share a laugh is very welcome.

Please read them again I think you will see that no one was poking fun or being unkind.

Morning folks, more wind & rain, stayed in and sorting out my mobile phones. Since my tumble a few years back I have cheapo PAYG mobiles dotted around in strategic places, like the bathroom, but times move on and mobile suppliers, like talkmobile, have vanished. Hence the sort out

Breakfast was another pot of my HM yoghurt. I am going to try getting a production line going, using empty jam jars in addition to those supplied with the yog maker. I'll make a start by buying some Blue top UHT from Lild tomorrow, my first day back at volunteering and I always pop in there early

Lunch is looking like the cheese salady sarnie again

Dinner, I quite fancy pinging the chicken tikka form Adsa I bought yesterday, not expecting haute cuisine at £1.33 a pop but quick and easy, and a nice change

Very kind of you, and good neighbours are always welcome.

So pleased your HM yoghurt is going well. When I needed extra jars to do a batch for my DD as well as mine I looked on ebay and was shocked at the price. I looked in asda and found the smartprice mint sauce at 24p jars werethe exact size I needed. Bought 6 and emptied the sauce into a big coffee jar put the sauce jars through dishwasher , result free jars and enough mint sauce to probably last me out lol.
