I just whipped up my nuker sconz ... it's a skimp recipe for a small quantity, where I omit the "brown under the grill" bit. These are cheese & oregano. So you could say they're nuker soft cheese & oregano breads.

They can be a "nice little something else" when served with a chilli when you fancy "quite a few different side things", or just a scoffy snack if you're simply hungry ... and have the ingredients in the house (flour, marg, egg, cheese....)

Easy, flexible, they just work ... but photos don't work when it starts getting darker, so I took photos, but they're shocking. They blur and do all sorts once the light fades.

But ... they are an immediate soup dunking bread, or savoury bread for a picnic in a hurry ... and can be any flavour.

Like everything .... I just wish I bothered more often :)

Toss simple stuff into a bowl, poke it with a fork, chuck in an egg, drop it out onto flour and give it a bash into shape, throw toppings in its general direction. Nuke 2½ minutes. Scoff.
    :)

There is a "proper recipe" for doing it - that doubles the quantity and has a couple of additional slight-faffy bits... so I invented my own lazy 4rse way of doing them about 25 years ago and generally stick with that.

I think 99% of what I cook has some sot of shortcut from the original;):)

Its OK Karcher I'll admit it took me a while to put 2 + 2 together to realise that too. :) I think I even mentioned the Blog without realising. :D

Regarding food I did a search on my 'fave online' and they obviously have Organic Carrots so I've added to my favourites to remind myself. Unfortunately there's no roasting carrots that I can see, although its the 'search' I think as I'm almost sure there was some kind of 'roasting veg' fresh tray or something. On an another positive note I've also noted a large bag of frozen baby carrots too that is also on my list now.

Not quite with it today somehow :o , so lunch was a 'cook free' wholemeal bread and a 'ready' soup cup. Tea/Dinner I just had the half tin of sweetcorn I had from the other day with a couple of potato slices, seemed quite enough for the moment at least too. :)

I had planned on the 'mixing the ready mixed mash' varieties together with other things but that can wait for another day.

Must start a quick thread about a few odd cookware questions I have too later in the week.

She certainly does caron. I honestly had no idea and I've been engrossed in her blog ever since.

PN I imagine you hate praise but you deserve it :D

Andy - I'm sticking my nose in but that really doesn't seem like enough calories to keep you healthy (even if you had lots of bread at lunch). Hope this is just a once off or you have had other snacks :)

    *blushes*

Yes, I fear the public gaze. I feel most unworthy.

It's also "tricky" ... due to having to repeat eat so much, so often .... and the days when one just eats toast/crumpets ... it's not so regularly updated as one would wish.
