CIFAS marker on my name for first party fraud

Aside from this being a pretty old thread your situation is entirely different.

Placing a "First Party Fraud" CIFAS marker on an account for receiving a refund on a different card to the one that payment was made on is ridiculous and it's unsurprising it was removed when you complained.

You can send a letter to the head office of the bank with an explanation of what happened but they will only consider it if you have evidence to prove that you were used such as messages between you & the person etc send a letter explaining what happened with all the evidence attached as well as your bank closure letters.
