Yes. Well. The last 2 or 3 weeks of constant cooking and tasting, combined with the festive fare I have been invited to consume here and there, plus yesterday's excesses, have taken their toll.
I think it will take me all the next challenge to get back to where I started. I will start in a minor way tomorrow and work my way up to self control gently.I believe that friends are quiet angels

Back on the diet tomorrow, I need to lose what I've put on over these last few days before the next challenge begins.0 -
Hi everyone. Hope you have all enjoyed yourselves. I was struck down with this horrible cold/flu virus which is sweeping the country and have spent most of Christmas in bed. Up today but still feel shocking. I will still have gained though you can bet your life on that.Debt Free and now a saver, conscious consumer, low waste lifestyler

I hope you are feeling back to normal soon dolly
I'm lying in bed at the moment, I was diagnosed with low iron (7 if that means anything to anyone) and have been taking iron pills for about a week when my period decided to start - thanks Mother Nature
I'm going to have some steak in a minute and apparently dark chocolate is rich in iron so I might pinch a bit if that too
Is anyone else getting sick of the short daylight hours? I'm sooooo ready for spring right now - roll on 2018!0 -

Can I join please. I've lost 1 stone 2lbs before Christmas and have hopefully STS over Christmas,
It's a birthday ending in a 0 at the end of January so I'd like to go for 10 lbs off to take me into the next stone range. I just have to keep reminding myself how good it feels in clothes having lost 16lbs.“the princess jumped from the tower & she learned that she could fly all along. she never needed those wings.”

Hi Folks...here I am again!
DH is madly job hunting and I am trying not to comfort eat -I so do not want to move again, having struggled and finally succeeded in making new friends!
However, it will be what it is.
I have restarted running but with inhalers and the Dr was very cross with me for having put weight back on when I went for my checkup. Something along the lines of there being no point in giving advice if it's not followed...and she is correct...so....
Target.....8kg
I am planning to go for a brisk walk every day on top of planned runs or gym, use a smaller plate, warn my family before I visit in the UK (a major source of weight gain ), and keep it very simple with food...I have given the remaining two boxes of chocs to DH to take to the office..he has a long notice period where they still pay.... and other stuff has been frozen for now, allowing him to eat stuff I'm choosing not to.
I am just practising in this little hiatus and getting myself organised to get on with it.
Now for another walk before it gets dark.0 -
