Nurses in Cardiff NHS face huge bills

  • All 16 Unions agreed to the deal that was struck - its all very hush hush and secretive, possibly even with the welsh assembly involved.
There will be no industrial action because no union will assist any member stating that it is not a work related issue. Also overly aggressively stating you were all told to pay!

Yes the issue here is staff using "essential staff areas" i.e. senior management saved spaces which are never fully utilised.
Staff would never block roads or paths of ambulances - the problem we have here is these staff members care so much about those that they look after that despite being derided by the most senior management and resented by some of the so called 98% of compliant staff - they still want to go in and help. their aims to park are to not take over visitor parking areas so that there is space for those who urgently need it.

It is when all parking is blocked and the new route around the site - when the multi storeu has queues which jam up the round abouts grid locking the site that the abandonment issues occur - again not staff. This is the new traffic plan - dreamt up by some clown on a cloud without a clue.

As a parent of patients it now takes me an hour to drive around the site to park - previously no such time used at all!
i can't believe what I'm reading here ... these nurses are actually derided by fellow non-management NHS workers in the hospital for taking a stand?!?

And it still beggars belief that the unions have sided with the parking firm!!
If you were not the driver write to the parking firm and tell them who was so they CANNOT hold you liable. The person who was driving the car is responsible so let them deal with it. Not you! Don’t let people with an agenda tell you otherwise.

I have been providing assistance, including Lay Representation at Court hearings (current score: won 57, lost 14), to defendants in parking cases for over 5 years. I have an LLB (Hons) degree, and have a Graduate Diploma in Civil Litigation from CILEx. However, any advice given on these forums by me is NOT formal legal advice, and I accept no liability for its accuracy.

    Thanks Bargepole for that

What do you think will happen now ?

Yes you only have to look on the crowd funding site to find one example - then others on many other articles of online newspapers etc - those clever chaps who are able to up and leave to go to work early etc. Unfortunately they are just swallowing the Indigo/health board nonsense

Solicitor stated clearly outside court 100,000 tickets in play - we had no idea it was that big - health board latest data releases for staff have managed to tweak that number down to 1683 - i logged 1383 on a spreadsheet myself, then stopped as DVLA manipulated the data releases after being informed that INDIGO should not be accessing as a local authority plus they did not have an authority link set up for south wales - so probably fraud alert. DVLA amended releases to state that authority covered NHS link also - they did not like having their own documents used to highlight the inaccuracies of their system and so for a period locked out all public authority records to the general public.

There was so much wrong with this company and the way they or rather ZZPS undertake business. Ultimately INDIGO are liable for every infringement made whilst ZZPS utilise their KADOE links (they have 7 in operation).

JW let us down very very very badly - his case was the Keeper - and he did not put forth any evidence to assist the case such as the data showing the KADOE breaches etc. He did no background research - everything was made fully available to him and he failed spectacularly.
He turned up with a wedge of previous cases not prepared to guide witnesses and the court to the relevant page and section numbers in the trial bundle. It was an utter car crash. Fair do's cross examining witnesses is new and so plausible that you would make errors. HE ran away with himself.

One good thing when the INdigo site manager lied on the stand and asserted that DEREK DONOVAN had stalked wardens and interfered with notices to drivers plus their assertions that he had been arrested by police and told he was not allowed on site without supervision JW took them apart - he was very adept at dealing with the criminal aspects raised here.

All utter lies on the part of INDIGO Staff - the pensioner can hardly walk let alone follow staff around a site that big, police were involved when he was trying to get images of signage there ready to dispute them, but no charges, no cautions or anything was raised.

Tarring of the decent people as are the alleged 2% to make those incompetents sleep easier at night.

It is interesting that the health board state 1% of staff use the brand new park and ride - last count 12 on it! so if 12 =1% of staff then 7% of staff are affected not the 2 as quoted

I understand what baregepole has said but where are you
in this web of sin ???

She is nowhere - tagged along like a lame do nothing other than hands out business cards.
Wasn't required and told not to attend the hearing. For someone with so much experience she had her mobile phone on in one hearing and it rang and another then proceeded to try and address the judge.

    Shocking

Ah, Winnalot. Let's hope the nurses do.
You know what uranium is, right? It's this thing called nuclear weapons. And other things. Like lots of things are done with uranium. Including some bad things.
