Hello,
I'm travelling to Budapest for a long weekend , looking for advice on currency,
should I take mostly Euros or Florints.
My initial thought was take mostly Euros with a small amount of local currency but looking online
there seems to be a lot of conflicting advice. Anyone been that can give me their views???

The currency of Hungary is the forint (HUF) so there is no point buying euros and exchanging twice. Either take pounds to exchange there, or for better rates use a fee-free 'travel' card for purchases and ATM withdrawals, see the MSE advice.Evolution, not revolution0
