i'm making pamper hampers for all the females in my family.
    i've bought -:

    a foam bath - £1
    a cream bath - £1
    a shower gel - £1
    a hand wash - £1
    a hand and body lotion - £1
    a hand and nail cream - £1
    a box of 2 soaps - £1
    a roll on deodorant - £1
    talc - £1
    a flannel - 50p
    and a box of chocolates - £2.99 ( 1/2 price)
    all from marks and spencer.

    also bought
    a body polisher for 39p
    and a sponge for 19p
    at wilkinsons

all i need now is boxes to put them in. i thought of the carboard storage boxes that you can buy in stationary shops and covering the lids and boxes in wrapping paper and tying a ribbon and bow around it.

    what do you think?

here is what is in my basket so far:

    mum:
    - dior poison perfum gift bag (she used to love it when she was in her
    30s)
    - whsmith 2008 brown agenda with flower leather scheme (she sometimes
miss her appointments so i think this will be helpful and practical since it is
small enough to put inside her bag.)

    dad:
    - a blacksmith puzzle i found on the net (it has an antique feeling about it i think my dad will like i found it online at made4men)
    - and finally a concorde gift pack from collectablesmania (which will remind him of the first time and the last he took the concorde, i still remember him talking for hours about it when he returned rom his trip... :o) )

yep that's it for me for now, but i am still looking and have started to make some hand made gifts to pump up the basket a little, like putting all the family pictures in albums, making plans to come and clean their garden before christmas and things like that... i just hope they like it...

    Hi everyone

This is my first ever post! Have been reading and loving the Christmas threads for some time though :D .

    Heres my list

Mum: PJ's, dressing gown, slippers & some perfume
Dad: Band of Brothers T.V. series, Simpsons movie (when its released), chocolate
Sis: A nice top (her choice), Armarni white perfume
Bro: A guitar shaped CD rack & some finger drums
BF: A mask of Predator from the film Predator & arms (looks like its come straight from the set), DVD's, chocolate
BF's Family: Home made retro sweets hamper (I'll be tucking into that one aswell;)
BF's Dog: A little Elf suit made for dogs (I love dressing the poor thing up, its a wonder why he even comes near me!)
2x Best Friends: Chocolate & smellies
  • Oh what a wonderful idea, here's my lists so far:

Mum - The hardest person to buy for but think i'll make a pamper hamper - new dressing gown, smellies, bottle of baileys.

Dad - Doing a hamper for him that will contain christmas orientated real ales - so far have bought a Christmas pud flavoured ale, Cranberry Ale, and a Christmas ale gift set from Sainsburys - all bought with nectar points. Will add in some fancy nibbles and a book to help him in his family history research.

Aunt - Luxury Hamper, she lives on her own so small bottles of wine, single Xmas pud, cheese/biscuits etc, bath salts etc.

Brother (31) - a top from Next and a smellies set.

Brother (21) and Girlfriend - they're buying their first flat atm and will be moved in at the beginning of December so going to make them a Movie Night-In Hamper.

DD (7) - It's her birthday on Saturday so i'm out of ideas for presents except a craft hamper which i've managed to get most of the bits of pieces for already, mostly it'll be recycled, loo rolls, ribbons, old xmas/birthday cards etc.

Best Friend and Boyfriend - They're going to be in Oz for Xmas visiting her family so we're going shopping together in the sales when she gets back and we've set a budget of £20.00

Will send token gifts to the extended family, other friends, neighbours - homemade fudge or gingerbread christmas trees are looking the most likely so far.
