My next dilemma

I have issues.
How on earth can I get my hobs clean? Should have never bought an electric oven with those raised hobs, but I was looking for the cheapest oven I could get at the time, as I could not justify spending money on one!
Anyway, 2 of them have gone rusty, and I can't get it off. If I do, it comes back within a couple of days.
Dad suggested olive oil, so I did. Then stunk my house out and made my eyes leak with the smoke the next time I put them on.
Is there anything you can use on them that doesnt smoke or smell when you put them on, but get's them back to black and also, clean?

Rikki, I'm currently doing the kitchen up, so this is classed as part of it!
When I say doing it up, I do mean giving it a spring clean...
Plus I'm old now.
Never heard of Astonish. Got some hob brite, paid over £3 for it, and realised it's for ceramic hobs, not the plate type like mine, used it anyway, but dont really work.0 -
I just do with a Brillo - and get good results. Have you got a hob that is ceramic?
Love the fact you are trying! Keep up the good work.

Don't bother with the cleaning, just buy some of those covers that look like canister lids....you can get them in pretty colours and patterns.....just be careful though, as with all of this domesticity you will end up with the full Eternal Beau set.Official DFW Nerd Club - Member no: 203.0
