A no spend day today (direct debits don't count in my rules) a great way to start the month. A bit of Tilley tidying from the bill pots, the 1p a day challenge - I've only done 1 day - 60p today as I don't know how this month is going to pan out at the moment.

Second day of supply today, and last working day of the week. Time sheet has been handed in, so I will get paid a week tomorrow. The majority will go in wage storage, but I'll put the straggly, non round bits in the ef & mop pot.

I need to blitz the house tonight - it's looking like a tip, and hubby starts a run of work away tomorrow, so I don't want to be attempting to play catch up once he's gone.

As hubby has been home so much recently the freezer is full of batch cooked meals and I've got a huge stash of home made soups too, so I'm hoping I can stretch the foood shop out until at least next Tuesday, that could make March a '3 shop month'

I should be out at knit club tonight, but my head is banging, and there is the tidying to do, oh well, another time.

Have a lovely evening everyone. Keep safe and warm
    Wish.

We are snowless here, but it's very cold still and gusting winds. Pickle and I did make it to visit poorly friend, but two hands firmly on the steering wheel at all times.
Not sure what's up with Pickle, he's been very quiet all afternoon. I just hope that means we're not in for a loooooong night.

A nsd, some more direct debits have left the account and associated tilly tidies completed 1p a day challenge done.

Need to blitz the house this evening, it didn't get done last night as I was suffering with a migraine. Then knitting project and an early night.

Errands to run tomorrow, so it won't be a nsd, but, if I plan well, I'll keep spends down.
    Wish.

    Today was not a nsd.
A little shop for groceries (used a £10 random Christmas voucher & £4 of vouchers from a well known brand of crisps that I got sent after I complained that the seal had gone on a packet. )
Some postal bags for sending off my knitted gifts to others, mother s day card & voucher for the mother ship and some post it note arrows for my bullet journal freezer inventory (another random voucher used)
    Cat food
    New bread bin ordered.
All in all spent about £50 in cash today but, all the budgets still looking healthy.
Tea at a friend's house. I took dessert which I 'shopped from Home' for.

Terrible night with Pickle last night, pesky molars causing him a trouble. He's gone to sleep easily this evening though.

Other than that, and the updates below - nothing to report.

    A nsd today. Woop woop
    Completely finished a knitting project. :j :j
    Washing all done - yay
Pickle in bed asleep - hooray

Hubby has had a job cancelled for next week, so he's a little bit 'bear with a sore head' grumpy one, I'm sure something will come along but, I'm the meantime he'll be under my feet...

I hope everyone has a lovely week

Love your updates, so cheery and full of pot reshuffling shenanigans - reminds me of my money shuffling days :j. Especially loving the mortgage date coming forward in your signature :T.

Thank you for stopping by Gallygirl, I love the 'move to' function on the ynab iPad app I use it all the time (see my next post....)

I like small challenges that are achievable, I need the motivation and the competitive elements, otherwise the 'completed finisher' in me gets twitchy.

So, I must be the only person in the country who's been checking the council website daily to find out what the 18/19 rate is so that I know how much additional I've saved over the last year.

The total to be redistributed was just over £300.
So, some to the emergency fund
Some to the 'white goods repair & replace' pot and some, of course to the mop pot.

This means - another brick coloured in on the count down house, and another brick covered by the 'off set savings pot' just 75 bricks to go now. :j :j :j

Mortgage 'free' in 29 months? I can do this (although this is all the 'easy wins' for the next few months though.) I guess I need to learn how to use Fleabay..

I'll be back with my normal update later (but it isn't a nsd....)

Here I am, back with today's update , and I'm a little calmer than I was with my lunchtime 'council tax bonus' time.
Breakfast this morning with a friend at the local cafe. Parcel posted and stocked up on stamps as I used the last of my stash for the mother's day cards. Then a little top up shop. Bread, cheese, mint sauce, and something else. Still, added to my Saturday grocery spends I'm still on less than £20 for the week.
Other than that, not a lot achieved today. Half a day of work tomorrow, then I New to blitz the office - hubby has been moving things around.

    Save well my friends.
    Wish.

A nsd today and a full day of work in the end, with no time to do any chores (nor the energy to be honest) I need to get my bum in gear and do things tomorrow, Washing, tidying, Tip run etc. I am hoping that the supply agency don't ring, but I also need to get plenty done so that if they ring tomorrow for Thursday (which seems to be the day for work) I can do it without stressing.

I've just started planning a week away for work for April, so could do with cracking on with hotel bookings etc. STill waiting on one confirmation, but that's the appointment for the Monday, so if it isn't confirmed, it's not too bad.

A little tilly tidy from the 1p a day challenge.

    Happy saving everyone.
    Wish.
