Maybe the editor of the times?audiologic wrote: »I went to cancel a policy with Norton insurance. This was on a 'classic car' basis, I was selling the car. The advisor informed me that because I had been on cover for over 4 months, I was not due any refund!!, "its in your policy". I was livid. Can I write to anyone about this?
Sorry but it was in the policy documents you agreed to, and seems standard in the classic car world. The clause is in policies i have with Footman James (I believe no refund at all), Lancaster and one other firm I cant remember the name of just now.0 -
id seriously stay clear of quinn direct, i recently had my car wrote off by a company van was the other drivers fault for going through a red light i was badly damaged in the accident with a head injury and quinn said they could not do anything and charged me instead of the other persons insurance even tho ui paid for fully comp insurance i got a total of 90.00 back for my car, plus i paid extra for a courtesy car and when i told them i needed it they said i was not intitled to one even tho i paid for itbecause my car was an N reg. also after waitin 2 months for the claim to be sorted and paid the premium in one go i was told i owed extra money for the insurance covering the months after the crash till the end of the year. although i had already paid in full. quinn was the worst choice in insurance companies any one could choose, they are cheap granted but i am now seekin other solicitors advice about the way quinn treated me and hopefully once and for all it will be sorted. id stay well clear unless you fancy a long haul if a claim is ever made and u do end up out of pocket. pay a little extra from a company who knows what they are doing.0
