Yes I always buy the Sunpass at either Walgreens or CVS and have travelled florida many times in hired cars. Don't worry when you phone up after buying the Sunpass Mini, all they want is your Credit Card details with your Licence Plate Number and the ID of the transponder. It doesn't matter where you live or what hotel your using.
