TSB seem to be exceptionally fussy about address changes. My wife sent in a change of address form and got a letter back (to our new address!) saying her signature didn't match their records and she would need to go into a branch with photo ID. (The signature didn't match because the account was opened online and they didn't hold a specimen signature - as is the case with most of our accounts). All our other banks were perfectly OK about changing our address.

Then they couldn't verify that the request was genuine. It may have been someone else who was fraudulently changing the information.
I would be glad that they were taking such care.

Yes, I don't blame them for being cautious. I mentioned it as a possible reason for the OP's girl friend not having changed her address with them. Not that it is a valid excuse, just a possible explanation.

Hmmm. I have on my desk an item which was returned to me. The sticker is red and marked "not called for". The delivery address is crossed out, "RTS" written below it and the return address circled - all these in black marker.

On the original point. My experience with TSB suggests that taking 3 months worth into a convenient branch and being firm about it might be most effective.
I need to think of something new here...
