Not good, I was going to transfer to this (i posted elsewhere and you said 'me too') after the recent forecasts of base rate cuts.
For that reason, the Halifax rate cut isn't surprising

Yeah, missed the boat there i got the info in branch, also they said only the 1yr fix 5.15% stays the same for now.
Guess that means the 5.15% variable rate ISA will be cut soon, you can switch this ISA to the 5.40% fix no problem even current yr, which i might still do i think all lenders are dropping rates on mtg deals to attract new custom in a slowing mkt pre empting future BOE rate cuts, so saving rates will drop inline sooner rather than later.
    IMHO

    Yep, it sure has

    1 year 5.00% AER (fixed)
    2, 3 or 4 years 4.50% AER (fixed)

Reflects a flattening of the yeild curves across the world.

It 'MAY' be a temporary phenomena....

Had previously been 5.8% for a 5 year fix.
So glad I transferred in my ISA and TOISA (and so did my other half).
    :money:

Now .... what to do when our First Direct cash ISAs @ 6.25% fixed finishes in September...

    Thanks Deemy,

Guaranteed ISA listed as "no longer available". Only Second Issue ISA @ 5.1% appears to be available now?
