Vodafone sent my phone off for repair, made it worse then washed their hands of me..

I've got a w800i and the manufacturers warranty clearly states 24 months rather than the usual 12. Check it out, it may be same in your case !! Hope this helps.

i think nearly all SE's have a 2yr warranty now.

my old k700i had a 2yr warranty

cheers for all the replies so far guys - been away over the weekend. To be honest, the phone is still working (I can make calls and send txt messages...)

I've already decided on an iPhone when they come out in november so when I get chance this week, I'm gonna ring vodadrone and ask for my pac code (for transferring mobile numbers over). I've heard how most companies bend over backwards to help you out when you request them so I'll see what vodafone can do to 'keep' me then give them the digit...

I have a feeling although I may be wrong that the iphone is exclusive to 02. they have been plugging it quite a lot. I went to 02 and the day after asking for my pac vodafone called and offered the deal I wanted all along, I told them no thanks!

yeah the iphone is exclusive to o2. I've read LOADS of articles about it (as I'm quite a tech-head gadget perv) and decided its the way for me.

As for vodafone, I asked for my pac and how much it would be to terminate the contract etc... the lovely lady asked why and when I explained the whole 'water contamination" story, she must have had a script because she interrupted with the whole "well im sorry but water damager isnt covered in the warranty"... then I interrupted by saying "I appreciate that but if you look at my spending history with you for the past 12 months I've spent over a grand and, I'm sure that the cost (to vodafone) of sorting this phone for me would be alot less than losing a high spending customer such as myself." she went quiet and said sorry...

I'll ring them in a month when I've got my iphone to drag it out a bit and make them upset.
