Wright Hassall - I've read 'Newbies' need advice please

Options
Hi, hope everyone is ok.

Background: I am an IT contractor for the NHS. 2-3 months ago I was advised by work that I could park in an 'estates' area which is a grass verge. I did not block access and there were no signs to say otherwise that I could not park there. I even left a note in my window that I worked for the NHS with my number. I was there for no longer than 1 hour to move equipment. I have since received a couple of letters from ZZPS following the PCN notice and now a letter from Wright Hassall.

Two weeks ago I sent a letter to Indigo Park Services (BPA member) stating why I shouldnt pay. I did not identify myself as the driver. This was a comprehensive letter describing lack of signage, no proof of obstruction etc.

I have had no comeback on this letter yet from Indigo. How do I treat this letter from Hassall now? It is saying they may pass this over to their litigation department and may look to obtain a CCJ against me with a long list of how this will negatively impact me......

What are my next steps? The 'outstanding balance' is now £146. Will this rise?

Thanks in advance of any response, duly appreciated. I have read the newbies post but seems unclear with direction and which letters to send. Popla?

Sounds like a debt collector letter using a letterhead that
Wright Hassall have pimped out .... Is Tim Hawker the sender
and who does it say to pay ???

The letter is idiotic in that they cannot look at obtaining a CCJ,
that can only happen if you lost in court, did not pay and a judge
    ruled it.

We know that these menacing letters fabricate what actually happens and to that end, you should issue a complaint to
Trading Standards as this letter is highly misleading especially
when it is on pimped letterheads.

Note they say "they may" ... is this a Tim Hawker special ????

    OK thanks,

It is signed by Tim Hawker. It is worded in a certain way. "We have been instructed by ZZPS" "failure to pay in full my result in us recommending to our client that we pass this over to litigation"

Will they take this to court? I know a judge would have to order me to pay before a CCJ took place. Would a letter to trading standards do anything? What is this POPLA all about?
  • Since Wright Hassall appear to employ no-one of that name (check their website) this is clearly a debt collection letter intended to concern you.

Can you upload a copy of the WH letter please. I wish to check whether it is compliant.

As I understand it, it is both pliant and compliant with ISO 12625-1:2011.

This is the recognised standard for toilet paper.

  • They may need that toilet paper if it's not compliant with the relevant SRA warning notice...

Shows you how idiotic this is, ZZPS are low life debt collectors
and any "so called" debt does not belong to ZZPS

ZZPS CANNOT INSTRUCT ANYONE the charge is from Indigo and only Indigo can instruct a solicitor, not some two bit debt collector

Imagine if you had not come here, you would have been sold
    this rubbish.
That is why you must complain to Trading Standards which will
help others when faced with the Tim Hawker rubbish letter

You now wait, ignore Tim Hawker and his written junk letters
If the real Wright hassall are stupid enough to issue a court claim come back here

But the SRA will not be interested, they failed as an old boys club
and they will continue to fail the consumer
  • It's not the expectation of results, so much as causing the administration of an investigation that might rather be avoided.

Over the months, complaints have been sent to the SRA about
BWLegal, Gladstones and Wright Hassall TO NO AVAIL

Sorry, I understand you are a lawyer but there is no respect or desire to complain the SRA again.

It is no different to the Gladstones / IPC members only club
  • Depends what the specific target of the complaint is (I have a specific angle of attack in mind for the right case) but take your point regarding wider complaints in the context of a dysfunctional industry, where sols simply claim to act on instructions.
