So, we are going to Australia and Hong Kong next year, with a short transfer of planes at Singapore (hopefully enought ime to get a drink and a bite to eat).
What is the best way to take currency to these places? I will be looking at taking a couple of thousand in GBP.
Should we take currency? A currency card? I have no idea!
Best wishes

Choose a card/cards that keeps your money in pounds and only converts when you use it, such as a credit card recommended in that article, or the link to prepaid cards. Starling Bank would be suitable.Evolution, not revolution0

In this day and age, there really is no need to take any currency with you. Leave it in your UK bank account until you need it. The withdraw it from an atm at your destination as and when you need it, using one of the credit/debit cards recommended in post 2.
If you are flying with Singapore airlines, they usually give you vouchers that can be spent at Changi airport... or you could pay by card.0
