Must share this...DM emailed me to say she woke up at 3am to find two women from Cord*a and her next door neighbour in her bedroom. She'd activated her neck alarm button in her sleep and, as she's deaf, didn't hear the phone ringing.

At least the system works, poor neighbour though. :o.

Right, now I'm off into the mist and drizzle.

Good morning everyone, thanks to Holly for starting the thread and hugs to anyone that needs one,

Not sunny nor particularly warm here but due to perk up a bit later. I've no real plans but hopefully will get some gardening done later.

Hope everyone has a good day x

DGD Holly enjoyed her full english and was pleased with her euros for her holiday in a few weeks to Malta and also her little unwrapable one (only some hand clean spray stuff but its lemon scented which she likes and some lemon hand cream to go with it.

DGS Ben has messaged me, he is fine and survived his overnight sleep at the airport, and will have a sleep on the plane to Canada.
very warm and humid here at the moment have got my feet up and relaxing at DDs even the dogs looked askance at the thought of a walk :) and the little fur-ball terrier is asleep on the cool leather sofa in the sitting room. Just about to make a nice cup of tea and have a read of my book, far too hot to do much at the moment and DGS Mikey will be home shortly

    Cheers chums JackieO xx

Afternoon folks. It's very hot and humid here. The sunshine has been replaced by cloud so it looks as though the weatherman was right about rain this afternoon! If it does pass us by then I really must give the pots and tubs a good hosing. They look very dry.

I managed to keep my shopping to a minimum this morning in Aldi. It was very quiet which is unusual for Thursday, special offer day. Must be the weather. I then popped in Iceland for some ice lollies and Nobbly Bobblies, both on half price offer. I need to keep in the DGD's good books this warm weather!

DS texted earlier to see if my "cafe" would be open when he finished work! Good job I made the usual Thursday Bolognese Bake the same giant size despite one DGD missing this week!

Hope there was no problem with your DH's injection this time NANNYWINDOW. It's Mr TA's turn next Thursday but the Oncology Dept at St James are usually on the ball and have his injection ordered and ready and waiting for when we arrive. (Hope I haven't spoken too soon!!)

LONEWHITEWOLF I'm sorry you are having problems (HUGS) I wondered where you had disappeared to.

GERS sorry but I had to smile at your DM's night-time antics!!

Oh the sun is now back with us so maybe I will be watering the pots after all! Enjoy the rest of the day folks if you can xx

TA everything went well this morning, in fact we were in and out before the appointment was due :). Good job we always arrive at least 20 mins early.
Our Al*i was pretty quiet too but I think we must have missed the crowds as most of the salad stuff and fruit shelves were empty, so I presume most people had already shopped.
My dad was on form today, complemented his tea then it all went downhill :(. Even asked again if DH will have his injections for the rest of his life, "err yes and no his cancer cannot be cured ". I don't know how many times in the past couple of years we have had the same conversation, it doesn't seem to register, I think he switches off before he hears the end of the conversation ! In fact I'm sure of it, it doesn't concern him because it's not in his world :(:(.
Sorry that turned into a rant, perhaps it's because I'm tired and soooo hot. ( and not in a good way :rotfl:)
Gers your poor Mum, bet she had a bit of a fright
Hugs to anyone who wants or needs one.
    Goodnight all
