Morning :hello:

Have a great time camelot :D

I'm very much enjoying living alone, even though I'm not actually living alone :D People seem to be realising that I'm an actual person in my own right, not just someone's wife/mum.

I've rearranged work a bit, it suits me better now and everyone knows not to disturb me. I'm mostly on my own at those times, but someone would still phone for something unimportant – I've put a stop to that. I'm exercising regularly (and quite pathetically but I'm improving, lol) and eating loads of fruit. Still need chocolate but I've cut that down a bit :D

Scampi is being a little star for me – not so much for mr tru but that's his own fault – and is having loads of fun with his best mate, who sometimes comes to play. So funny yesterday, I nipped to the loo and they followed me upstairs, sat and waited til I came out then walked back down the stairs with me :D

I need to tie up the tomatoes early this morning, go for a walk with the furry one then I'll be working til lunchtime. Hopefully I'll be finished by then but if not I'll finish it this afternoon. Later on I'll be doing my exercises then pampering my feet.

Morning folks and thanks HH. Got back from our few days at the 'van yesterday afternoon. As always through the week the site was lovely and peaceful. Did the usual reading, birdwatching and eating. Tuesday we made the short trip up to Ripon for a browse of the cs and a lovely lunch of gammon, egg and chips.

It was a much reduced wine and carvery night last night thanks to illness. Just two of us! We dithered over whether to cancel but decided still to go. Just as enjoyable and we had a good old natter and a bit too much wine!

The appt with the Neurologist was waiting for our return yesterday. Sod's law it was for the 19th this month - the same day he is booked in for the Dupuytren's op. I rang immediately to change it and he now has to wait until the 1st August for the nerve conduction test results. Still awaiting the stent change and 6 monthly scan appts. What's the betting they will arrive for one of those two dates!!

Weekly shopping day today and trying to make it a small one. I think just a trip into Aldi will do. Just the two younger DGDs for tea and sleepover tonight after swimming. The eldest still in Spain and enjoying it immensely by the sound of it.

KARCHER I am in agreement with everyone else. Please see your doctor. You can't cope with so little sleep. It was good to hear LAMEWOLF is ok after not hearing anything from her for so long. Have a good day all and (HUGS) to all in need. Take care all. I think we can expect a real mixed bag of weather hereabouts today looking at the forecast, so hope it's better where you are xx

Editing with a whoops! Forgot to wish CAMELOT a lovely holiday!

Morning everyone,

Warm here as well and set for storms, do hope we get some rain.
Had a lovely meal out with my DB last night, he is feeling much the same as me and can obviously totally relate, we are both lucky in having such brilliant partners who support us so well but it helps to talk to each other. We sat outside until nearly 10pm and watched the sun go down.
Am off to Sainsbobs this morning as have a voucher, £4.50 off a £30 shop so worth going, need fresh veg and salad plus a couple of cleaning bits so hopefully will hit the minimum spend.

Thinking of you LW blessings m'dear x
Happy holidays Camelot
Enjoy the breakfast with DGD Jackie

Hugs to all that need one, have a good day folks x

Good morning everyone - we have rain here again though it's meant to clear up soon.

Yesterday was certainly a day of two halves. First one, pleasant and enjoyable with taking DM to her appointment and then a lovely drive home. Second one a bit of a mare. My laptop decided to play up and it took until 9pm'ish to sort. And then all my cookies had been deleted which is another pain, the upside is that I have a sneaky print out tucked away in a hidden corner. Just need to make sure that it's not on it's last legs.

After all that I slept all the way through to after 7.30am and was reluctant to wake up. Usually I'm wide awake by 5am.

This morning I'm zooming up to Oban to collect the second marking stuff, thought it was safer than and easier than having the chap put it in the post and then waiting until Saturday for it. In the afternoon I've got some other uni stuff to get cleared and off my plate.

Food today is yoghurt and berries and for later I've got some liver, think I'll use it in a stir fry.

I hope everyone is doing well or getting better, happy Thursday.

Morning gang

Camelot you are bound to have perfect weather in France :j I am very jealous its my favourite country ...whereabouts are you heading?

tru Glad you're back I missed you ...well actually I missed scampi :rotfl: he obviously wants to make sure you never go anywhere without him. I used to have a dog who could open the bathroom door and just want to sit with you whilst you were on the loo ...no too weird lol

TA I love the idea of wine and carvery night ...its got me thinking about getting something like that going here.

Jackie Glad Ben got off OK its amazing the route he has had to take but he obviously has his grannies money saving ways.

Was hoping to see that blue sky this morning but its grim up north again....grey clouds but still sticky hot. Hopefully those clouds will burn off during the day and I can get some sun.

Lovely lunch with my cousin and her hubby yesterday such lovely people they probably didn't deserve to have mum bringing them down anyway. They did suggest they leave it for a few months and try again which again I think is so good of them...I would have just walked away. They had some lovely photos of mum and dad in the younger days (she was their bridesmaid and lived with them for years so lots of history) it was good to look at better days and days when mum might have occasionally smiled:D

Got some work to finish off today but should be done by mid morning so can get the washing done and then grab the book for a lie by the pool ......(well near enough I will put some water in a washing up bowl )

Anyways have a great day all and hope you all manage to get some Vit D

Happy holidays Camelot and also it is good to know that LW is back safely.
Just had another look at the weather forecast which now says that it will be mostly sunny and scorchio with no rain, not one drop. Not in so many words, and although I am one who likes being warm, am not really enjoying being quite this hot. Still, better than freezing.
I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back
• Morning, (((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one. Good to hear from LW, sorry to hear you are having problems.

Another bright sunny morning, we are off to pick up P and take her to Aldi with us.

We slept ok, although I was awake a couple of times, just the light duvet over us.

OH is driving me nuts about the sentry box being moved, if he is not careful I'll put him in the B****y thing and lock him in!!!:D:D.:rotfl: He also had a chaup about the car insurance, so I am not in the sunniest mood. It would be different if he handled money things but he does not, its all left to muggins.

Bacon, egg etc for supper tonight, there should be enough rasps for dessert with either cream or ice cream.

Morning everyone,

Today's my favourite day of the month as it's date night with my gran again. I'm going to nip out and get her some flowers this time. She loves her gardening and at 84 she still has it looking pristine yet she claims she doesn't really have a favourite. I'll pick one with some nice colours I think. Not entirely sure what's on the menu although I know when I arrive at 6pm, the table will be set, there will no doubt be homemade soup bubbling away and she'll be preparing the main. She spoils me.

Should be a quiet day in work today but I'll keep myself busy.

I hope everyone has a lovely day and it's drier where you are.

Hollyharvey - That sounds like a wonderfully relaxing afternoon.
camelot1001 - Safe travels
lonewhitewolf - Sending you hugs

Thanks for starting us off HolyHarvey
Forecast here says rain at 9am, it's now 8.53 and it's hot and SUNNY.
I want rain, I need rain, sorry rant over
Plan today is deep clean kitchen, I've been putting it off but must be done.
DH got his own breakfast this morning, comprised of cornflakes, special K with berries, and banana and papaya granola with a bottle of strawberry yazoo on the top, all served in a pasta dish, bet he still wants coffee and biscuits at 11.

Hope you all have a good day

Morning all
Bit of a flying visit as DH has his oncology injection booked for this morning, deep joy. Wonder what will go wrong this time !
Anyway, we will call in Al*is on the way home, as we have almost run out of diet lemonade and DH only likes theirs so will buy 12 bottles in one go.
It is DGC sports day this morning and we are disappointed that we can't go, but we can't be in two places at once :(. Sod's law that things fall on the same day / time eh TA ?
Dad is coming to tea tonight and the plan is for liver, bacon and mash with onion gravy.
Righty ho must go and show willing I suppose. Hope to pop back later.
Enjoy the day.
