Thank you all for your advice, Broadley backs up my thinking at the moment that we don't have much of a case and could just be throwing away loads of money in solicitors fees for no good reason.
Have postponed the meeting with the solicitor to see what happens.
Our final step will be to approach the Ministry of defence to see whether they are willing to sell it to us, if indeed they are the historical owner
