i asked on the flylady thread last week if anyone knew if she was away, i missed her doggy posts0

Yes, I'm sure LW must have been back for a couple of weeks.
Speky, don't apologise about the football. I am a fan as well, all DD's boyfriends have been happy about that. Her husband is Glaswegian but of the green and white variety.0 -

We have been trying to find LW on the flylady thread. She hasn't posted anywhere for over a month and we can't send PM's. Someone had the bright idea of trying to contact her through Mensa so we'll see if that turns anything up. Does anyone remember the name of the doggy sitting service she was working for? That might be another avenue.

Jo, we are having gammon tonight, it is one of our favourite dinners, need to go out and see how many heads of cabbage I need to make a decent veg.......caterpillers are feasting fit to burst!
Lovely day here, have been knitting this morning, few people missing on holiday, including our oldest member who, at 84 has gone to South Africa to celebrate her GGS' first birthday.
Judi.....hugs.
Lyn....congratulations on weight loss, need to get moving as would like to get down some before DD3's wedding in February, would rather not wear a tent!
Csarina....our rhubarb crop is not good at all this year so very jealous of yours!
Enjoy the rest of your day.

Afternoon everyone and thanks for your get well wishes. I think I've finally shrugged this, whatever it was, off. ( well I feel 90% better )
DGS has also gone to school today, I think he wasn't very impressed yesterday as DH had to collect his prescription and I had to do some shopping in T*sco, so he had to come with us. Apart from the rash on his face, which had receded by tea time, and on his arms he seemed more himself, with the help of Pir*ton and Calp*l.
We had 3 more phone engineers here this morning and they have replaced the line to the house from the pole. I swear none of them talk to each other as the underground line was also replaced last Friday and these 3 didn't know. Anyway, please keep everything crossed that this has solved our problems, after a month and every fault imaginable .
I spent this afternoon looking for the bottom of the ironing basket, DH had helped me keep the washing down but apparently that is where his job finished, and he drew the line at the ironing. Mustn't complain as he also did the cooking, no wonder I haven't eaten anything for a week :rotfl:. I have managed a piece of fruit bread and half a cheese sandwich today.
Karcher I am sending you healing vibes and I hope you can sort out your lack of sleep soon. I also think a visit to your GP may be a good idea as sometimes a couple of mild sleeping tablets is all you may need to get you sorted. Jump start your sleeping habit, so to speak.
Dumpling I feel so sorry about your daughters trip, hope she can get some extra help.
Enjoy your evening and hugs to all.
nanFailure is simply the opportunity to begin again, but this time more intelligently0 -
Afternoon all.
I made it home via the scenic route with a tiny detour to Wa*trose. I took DM for her appointment, she looked so lovely with her pink jacket and snazzy walking stick. She's 89 years old and, I think, struggling with the lose of most of her friends and keeping her place in society. Her life story is on page 107 and she's past the war, living in Hamlen and just about to meet my dad.
Enough for today. I hope everyone is doing well or getting better.0 -
Good afternoon everyone, thanks to Karcher for starting the thread (I hope you get some rest tonight) and hugs to anyone that needs one.
My elder son and his partner are off back to Cardiff so that's me "home alone" again until younger son is up next week.
I made a very MSE pot of soup with some HM chicken stock, the carcass pickings and the end of a bag of mixed veg all whizzed up with a spot of milk and it was really tasty.
It has finally stopped raining to I'm hoping to get an hour in garden before my friends with the pup (she's huge now) pop by later.
I hope everyone has a good evening x0
