Morning everyone,
Bright and sunny here in EA, WM is chugging away and hope to get one of my bed blankets washed as well.
I have my docs appointment today but funnily enough the counselling department from the hospice phoned yesterday and I have an appointment for the beginning of August, let's hope the double pronged approach is beneficial.
Tonight I am meeting up with my DB for a meal, just the two of us and it will be good to catch up on each other's lives.
Hugs to Karcher and anyone else that needs one.
Well done on the weight loss MrsLW and enjoy your lunch out.
Have a good day folks x0 -
Karcher, I'm sorry you are going through such a hard time, I hope you manage to get some rest.
Dumpling, good luck at the weigh in.
I'm rather worried about Lame Wolf, I hope she is ok.
Yesterday was not a good day - I'm fed up with feeling under the weather - not enough to go to the dr but enough to keep me feeling ropey a lot of the time.
DS has found out that he has to go to Livingston for 2 months for training starting in August. He's not too happy about it but needs must, hopefully he will be able to come back at weekends.
DH is hoping to hear good news at work today so fingers crossed that it will happen.
I want to get back into my sewing because I've been very lax while I've been ill.0 -
Morning all,
Totally deflated after my team got knocked out of Europe last night. I recon it'll be a 24 hour thing and I'll feel a bit more like myself after work. Perhaps the coffee I'm sipping on will help.
I'm keeping it short today.
I'm actually playing 7 a side tonight. I recon I'll actually play better than half the imposters who played in Luxembourg last night.
Apologies ladies, a football moan is the last thing you'll want to hear.
Have a nice day all.0 -
Morning
Karcher when you live alone you sometimes put things off about yourself that if you had someone living there they would be telling you to do. As your virtual friend I think you ought to go and have a chat with the doctor and don't say no just do it. You are having such a tough time right now and maybe you need a little bit of a helping hand atm. Wish I lived near to you I would be there for doctors visits and lunches
Couple of meetings this morning then lunch with my cousin and her hubby who was originally hoping to take mum out but she rudely refused as the gardener was coming at 8am and she couldn't cope with lunch as well. Gardener will be gone by 9am. Anyway I told her she had every right to make that decision and I will have a lovely lunch out with them instead ....cue more tantrums
Finished off some left over pizza last night from another lunch out ...lovely with a good dollop of coleslaw and slice of garlic bread. Had to have something sweet too so had some cream egg ice cream from the bottom of the freezer with my dose of Love Island
Anyway have a great day everyone and enjoy the sun if you have any0 -
Good morning
Thank you for the thread karcher
Just looked in the fridge and realised I have a pot of double cream to use, think I will make a cheesecake.
Does anyone know if will be able to freeze some, it's bourbon biscuit and butter base, double cream, Aldi type philli cheese and white chocolate cheesecake?
Need to clean windows, they look fine until the sun shines.
Sorry so many seem to be struggling at the moment HUGSIf you walk at night no-one will see you cry.0 -
Good morning, it is beautiful here, clear blue sky and lovely and warm with a bit of a breeze.
So far, I have had a partial tidy, washed some paintwork, put a wash on abs have some chicken defrosting for jerk chi ken later. All this on just over 2 hours sleep folks I think I may have peaked for the day. OH was snoring, I was too warm, then too cold, had indigestion (unlike me) then there was A Noise. Got bored just lying there so came down and drank lovely tea. Thank goodness I'm not at work this week, I wouldn't last the morning.
I will go and finish tidying, do some ironing and later see if I can manage a nap.
Hope people have a good or good ish day.
Nelski you are saintly, I don't think I'd be quite so kind. Karcher I do think a visit to the gp might be a good idea.I was jumping to conclusions and one of them jumped back0 -
Morning ((((((((((hugs)))))))))) if you need one. Karcher please go and see your GP and get some help, you just cannot go without sleep.
Bright sunny morning, I have just pulled 20 sticks of rhubarb to take to the coffee morning at the little chapel, I hope it all goes, we are going to have loads of the stuff, it seems to have gone mad.
Although I said I was going to leave it till today, I went over to see my neighbour last night, her youngest son is with her for a couple of days until his brother can get over from South Africa, he will stay with his mum. Thankfully the end was very peaceful and both of them had arranged and paid for their funerals, so no worries there, its just waiting for a date and time. B was quite tearful when I got there but talking about P she brightened up.
No gardening for OH we are out this morning and tomorrow. The council are coming Friday morning to look at the shed problem and advise us what we can and cannot do. I want confirmation in writing!!
Did managed to put the binding on one mat yesterday, might get another couple done this afternoon whilst OH is bowling, its not a match, they meet every second Wednesday afternoon for 'social bowling'. Keeps him in practice now he is only bowling twice a month in matches.
Salmon and salad for supper tonight, I guess there will be more raspberries for dessert.0 -
Apologies ladies, a football moan is the last thing you'll want to hear.

Good morning chums actually had a decent nights sleep last night for a change I think three broken nights was enough to tire me out enough to sleep a bit better IYSWIM
:)
Just as well as I am driving my DGS Ben up to Stansted this evening so he can catch his plane as he is off to see his girlfriend in Canada for a couple of weeks .
Had quite a busy day yesterday coffee morning first with U3A then an afternoon in the garden with two of my DGS who bless them broke up the old fence and packed it into the garden refuse bin for the bin men .
Then last night was pub quiz night and although we didn't win we all had a great time with lots of chats and laughter.
This morning I may have to nip to the shops for some eggs as my DGD is coming for a late breakfast tomorrow Its her 24th birthday and she has the morning off so as I have the gardener coming at 10.30 I said why not come here for breakfast. She wanted to go out for a meal but as I am tied in for a couple of hours it seemed more sensible for me to knock up a 'grannies special' and the only thing I am short of are some eggs, the rest mushrooms bacon sausages etc I already have in stock.
I shall get them from our local little farm shop as they do really nice free range ones that are much nicer than the insipid ones from the supermarket.
Apart from that it will be a pottering around day I think, the sun is already up and is due to be a very warm day Could be a day for knitting and watching some tennis and just relaxing i think:)
Hope you all have a good day and those who are troubled get some tranquility
Cheers chums
