    A ccj "lasts" for 6 years - after that time the debt is wiped off the register

    The creditor needs to start enforcement within the 6 years - if they leave it longer than 6 years the court is unlikely to allow enforcement

    Which may explain why you are now facing enforcement.

    Yes, I believe so. I contacted my local CAB who advised me of this. So looks like I'm finally going to have to cough up!
