QDR solicitors.

So.

I'm still being hassled several years (!) after I was issued with a CCJ over a parking fine. All demands for payment by Civil Enforcement Ltd were ignored, now being threatened with action from QDR Solicitors. Being asked to pay fee of £350 within 14 days.

One family member says pay it. Another says continue to ignore. Thoughts and advice very welcomed!

'Arrears notice' is the heading and further Enforcement action is threatened unless I pay within 14 days

What do you mean you got a CCJ, do you mean that? You lost in court and then refused to pay, years ago (when CEL didn;t used to take people to court)?

When? How? Or do you not mean a County Court Judgment?
PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

HAve you actually received a CCJ?

If so then do bear in mind that the amount you were supposed to pay is enforceable (ie the creditor can go back to court and ask for an order allowing them to get their money eg. by way of bailiffs/attachment of earnings etc)

Any costs they incur will be added to the amount you owe

I didn't attend court. It was issued from some Northampton Court. It's there, plain as day on my credit file-a CCJ

Northampton is just the central point MCOL claims start at. But the hearing would have been at your local court.

Why did you ignore it when they sent the original claim?

Because that was the advice at the time (this was years ago-we're talking 2011)

No-one EVER advised to ignore a claim form. Not ever.

I've never heard of CEL issuing court claims in 2011. They were clampers then - where would the brain cells have come from?
