Defaults assistance

OK

I completed an Experian check prior to a mortgage app. this came back as good so applied - then rejected.

I called Experian - they looked deeper and came up with 3 defaults against LINKED ADDRESSES

1. August 2011 02 which is marked as satisfied, so will, of course, drop off next month
2. Default December 2011 for the almost exact same amount and again 02, now with debt agency - I have had Experian raise a dispute, it came back as that the debt was owed. they stated that during the call below I had said it was paid and I would provide proof which I did not say- how can I its 6 years ago!!! Called the company who said that was correct (i refused to give them a new address at this time) and referred to an email discussion I had with them in 2012- which I recall- during which I told them I do not acknowledge the debt. And still, do not.
3. A debt to British Gas - This again at a linked address dated August 2013 - I moved out of said address in April 2011and, as it was through an agency, I had to pay the bills to get my deposit back which the agency did on my behalf returning the balance (they are no longer in business)

I have not lived in the UK since June 2011

The initial 1. I can live with as it will drop off. the 2nd should go away in December but really id like to deal with it now as I am confident 1 and 2 are the same debt

3. this is more complicated.... I called British Gas and they were at a total loss also? as in why it would a default be entered almost 2.5 years after I left the property??? They said I had to write to them as nobody in the collection could talk to me by telephone !!!!! I have again raised a dispute on Experian

These are the only entries in my file - I really want to clean it.

any advice appreciated

    1. Wait until it drops off next month.

    2. I would say follow advice as in number 1, reason being is it's only 5 months left until it drops off and by the time you start sending the prove it letters and then the others to follow plus remember you have to wait for them to reply as well, and if you manage to reach an amicable conclusion, by the time they instruct the credit reference agencies to remove the incorrect default will probably be around December time anyway. Not worth the hassle.
