    REPLY FROM PAYPAL TODAY:

We have completed our investigation of the following transaction and have removed the temporary hold. This temporary hold was removed because we have determined that the transaction was authorised.
    Transaction Date: 24 Sep. 2007 18:38:32 BST
    Transaction Amount: £11.25 GBP
    Buyer's Email: xxxxx
Good selling practices, such as trackable postage, prompt dispatch and communication between buyer and seller help resolve cases of unauthorised use. Thank you for your patience during this process and for helping to make PayPal a safe and trusted online payment solution.

I am still annoyed that she now gets away from trying to claim this back fraudulently (cant think of any other reason for the claim as other sellers have confirmed transaction via paypal to them on same day has gone through fine with no problems and she still has not emailed me about this).
I guess I will have to close the unpaid item dispute now :( only 2 days left as well and I could have left the 'relevant' feedback for her - now I cant do anything as I suspect she would hit me back with neg feedback - ebay is unfair that people can do 'revenge' feedback when its not justified.
Anyway thanks for all your help and I will think twice about accepting paypal on my websites just incase it happens again.
    Cheers all :D

Great result :) She's probably feeling pretty stupid at the moment.

This is a good example of how paypal's meant to work if you play by their rules. You did everything right, and justice was served :)

I'd be extremely tempted to leave a neg, regardless of any possible retaliation. Trouble is, you'd have to be really careful not to break the feedback rules on mentioning disputes, etc. Maybe a carefully-worded email would be equally satisfying :)

...also the item she bought is only available in the UK via us and one other company and they are more expensive so I have some small satisfaction knowing she will be paying more for it in future from our competitors, knowing if she had not tried to pull a fast one she could still be buying it much cheaper from us (small comfort I know but gives me a little bit of a warm glow - not that I am angry or bitter lmao)
Again thanks for all the help - was freaked out at first as had not encountered a paypal dispute before as any problems get sorted if a customer emails me.
What a helpful forum this is - cheers :D

Yes - the minute paypal said she was disputing the payment and froze it, I opened unpaid item dispute and blocked her on ebay.

Didn't the money appear in your account again after they found in your favour?

When they froze the payment originally I opened the unapid item dispute so she would get unpaid item strike and relevant feedback if paypal ruled in her favour (as she would then have money and goods which were unpaid for). When paypal ruled in my favour I closed the unpaid dispute and have the money in my account again.
