I am in need of a small loan.
Old creditors did a search a few months ago (would this go against me if I apply to my bank) to find me at my current address I've not contacted them. No default shows as they expired years ago.
I need to move out of my current location urgently I'm looking no more than £500. It's more living and moving costs as the 1St months rent deposit is going to eat up most of my salary this month.
What options are open to me to get a loan or credit card are the payday loans any good I don't know much about them or is there any alternatives or gramts

Payday loans are terrible.
We can't advise without knowing something about you.
What do your credit files show? Do you have a job?0 -
Yes I have a full time job but there is no overtime, are there any options? My Signature is MY OWN!!0

And your credit files?0

What about my credit files there's no default on them they expired years ago. I haven't applied for credit cards or loans sinc default were originally applied. My Signature is MY OWN!!0

So no history of repaying credit at all? All three files are blank?
Not even on the ER?0 -
Only credit agreement per say is for phone contract I'm only asking for small amount.
No not on electerol roll never have been I don't know what 3 files you are talking about. My Signature is MY OWN!!0 -
The bank or building society where you hold your main current account is probably your best bet. However, £500 is not a huge sum of money in the grand scheme of things. Do you have any savings at all? If you did manage to borrow £500 how would you repay it? How much are you currently managing to save at the moment?0

There are 3 credit reference agencies. You need to check all 3 credit files.
Expierian - free from MSE Credit Club
Equifax - free from Clear Score
Call Credit - free from Noddle
I assume you are not on the electoral register because you were hiding from creditors going by your opening post.0 -
No I've never been on it because I have not voted or 20 years they are all the same party to me.. Got nothing to do with creditors I stopped making token payment in January I condition that is deteriorating. I've always had phone contracts. So anyone can trace me.
I am asking for advice not your personal assumption or thoughts or attitude. If you are going to jump to conclusions rather than be of help I would prefer it that you do not reply and allow others who will not pass judgement on others. My Signature is MY OWN!!0 -
Your opening post talks of old creditors doing a search. That makes it sound as though you have a history of borrowing money and not paying it back. If you want advice on the best way to raise £500 then it's helpful for us to know what sort of borrower you are and what might be on your credit files since you haven't checked them yet.0
