I’ve spent 90p on orange juice for the week rather than buying individual juice. I may also buy a big bottle of pop for £1 and put it in the work fridge rather than buy individual bottles!!
Still having problems with my laptop, I’ve given up!
I have just made £5 on prolific academic for completing 5 surveys. Took about 30 minutes of my time. Once it is all approved I can get the money as I’ll have £8.88
Still at work (having a quick break!) just thinking about payday tomorrow, and my lack of internet banking opportunities.
I need to go in and ask why I’m locked out my online account!0 -
I’ve just been paid :j
I’ve rounded down the amount in my bank account, so no odd pennies before things go out.
This month I’m going to wait until all my direct debits go out then make my credit card payment. Sometimes I get the urge to overpay and then have to put stuff on the credit card, which is what I am trying to avoid doing.
I need to get out: £100 shopping, £100 gift, £50 travel, £100 entertainment and £20 sports. This way I know I’m going to have enough to see me through until.
I’m hoping I won’t hit December pay until the end of December. My last Christmas social should be December 21st (which is also pay day) but this has all be budgeted for in November pay. After the 21st December all I should need to pay for before the 1st January will be petrol to get to my OH parents house.
I need to check my £1 coin collection. I admit to using the last of my coins to get me through the month but that’s what they are there for.0 -
I’m so glad I work flexible working hours as I’m still currently in bed :rotfl: will aim to get in for 9!
I need to check if anything has gone out the bank and cross it off my list. With no working laptop I’ve had to write it all down and keep notes of everything that’s gone out.
I’ve been trying to persuade my OH to get a savings account since Saturday but he still hasn’t done it. He keeps thinking the money he earns he has without taking into account his overdraft. I’ve told him to save some money in an account and once he has enough transfer it back to his main account.
I need some advice re the situation above. As my OH has an overdraft if he wanted to switch his current account to another bank would he have to be able to pay his overdraft off first? I’m not sure that if he switches account it means that they would close his main current account once he switches to a new bank? Or would the overdraft remain?0 -
I’ve also made quite a bit of money from prolific academic over the past couple of days. Just completed another 4 surveys, think I can cash out now.
I’ve not decided what to do with survey money, will put it in savings for now. Every little helps!0 -
Hi Jem, I'm not 100% sure, but I am relatively certain someone would have to pay back their overdraft before switching bank accounts.
There is a way around this, in the same way you can get balance transfer cards you can get a card which is called something like a 'money transfer card' which would transfer money to an account, in the same way that you can transfer a debt to a balance transfer card. I think you can get 0% interest cards. It is a debt, it would have to be paid back, but if it made financial sense it might be the way forward.Debt Free Stage 1 - Completed 27/08/2020
