Talktalk nightmare

Can anyone advise me please?
I rent my deceased mother's seaside bungalow as a holiday let, 120 miles from my home. We had TalkTalk internet installed which after about 11 months of fine service became disconnected. They tried resetting it from "their end" but said an engineer would need to come out. Earliest appointment was 8 days after the service went off. I drove there today to meet the engineer, to have a call from my son 30 mins before they were due to arrive, they couldnt make it and I would need to reschedule!! I finally got hold of them, they have said earliest appointment is in 11 days. I called them the night before they were due to make sure they would definitely arrive and made it clear I would be furious if they didnt come as 8 days without internet wasnt what I expected. Now it will be another 11 days - 19 days! What on Earth can I do?? Whenever I call Im met with the same pathetic complacency amongst every member of staff Ive spoken to; they have no connection that customers pay their wages. Also I was told it was a rolling contract, now they are saying it ends in Feb 2018, which isnt true, but they didnt give me any paperwork to that effect!!
Any ideas how I can get this sorted please? And is there a company who has a strict contract about how many days before an engineer arrives, 19 is pathetic!!!! They could have trained and sent a tortoise to fix it in that time.

Unfortunately the "repair" service is supplied by BT Openreach , not actually by TalkTalk, for ALL ISPs ....and if you read (many) other threads on these forums ,you will find that your tale is not uncommon. OFCOM are trying to tighten up the standards for these sorts of repair ,but I fear that it will be an uphill task.:mad:0

Hi anders170,
I'm really sorry to read about the problems you've been having, this isn't the type of experience we want your to have at all. We'd really like to look into this for you, can you please tweet us (@TalkTalk) or register and post on our Online Community so that we can investigate?
Thanks,

I did join the TalkTalk online forum, I found you to be really unhelpful and aggressive. And now 21 days later, still no solution, no engineer, just a lot of waffle. Really really poor apathetic, complacent couldnt care less company0
