Settings -> Backup and recovery I think
Or use the search box in the task bar and type system restore. Select system restore from the results list. The search box is very useful for finding things like this.

Just open Control Panel and search for "restore"
It's not in 'Backup and restore' as you might think, but in System>Create a restore point.
You can also make the same search in the Settings app, if that's easier for you to find.

System Restore is turned off in Windows 10 by default. So if you haven't been in and turned it on previously, there won't be any restore points created.

To turn it on click on your C: drive, and then click the Configure button.

Do you mean click on "This PC" then the "c" drive as that just comes up with a list of program files also where is the Configure button?

But only as a clean install. If you upgraded to it and it was on (as is by default in Windows 7 and 8) then it will still be on in 10.

No no sorry, I meant in the System Resore dialog window that comes up when you search Settings (or Control Panel).
In the 'Available drives' box you select the drive for which you want to turn System Restore on (likely to be your C: drive), then click the 'Configure' button.

Then in the dialog box that pops up you check 'Turn on system protection', and adjust the amount of space you want to allocate it (or leave it on default).
Then click Apply. Then you can create a restore point if you wish.

    Not in my experience.
In fact after every large Windows 10 Upgrade (Anniversary, Creators etc), you'll find that System Restore has been turned off again.

I think they regard System Restore as a legacy feature, and they'd prefer you to use the new Windows Reset feature.

ETA: I think it was still turned on after the Creators Update on one of my PCs, but turned off on others.

My experience is the same as yours - normally it's switched off whether from a clean install or upgrade.
Except sometimes (rarely) it stays switched on.
I've not figured out any pattern.

Yeah, as I said if System Restore was on when you upgraded to 10 of any build from Windows 7 or 8, it stays on, I didn't mention anything about the major versions (November, Anniversary and Creation). Then it turns off after the update until you intervene manually.

Don't forget Windows 10 goes out on a lot of devices that have very small hard drives - sometimes as small as 32Gb. As Windows 10 itself takes up about 15Gb on its own there isn't a lot of room on those devices for it.

Apparently it's by design to turn System Restore off after a major update to stop you stuffing things up totally by doing a system restore to a point before you upgraded to November/Anniversary/Creator update.
