Leeds Building Society Reg Saver Iss 5 launch 4th July

I was in my local LBS branch today and they confirmed they are launching a new Reg Saver Iss 5 on 4th July. Will pay 2.30% for the 12 month fixed term (doesn't include a bonus) and will transfer to an access account on maturity. They advised you can miss as many payments as you want with max monthly sub of £250.00. Only allowed 1 withdrawal. They also said they are going the same as Virgin and Iss 6 will launch on 4th Aug, and so forth until further notice. Thought I would share!

That would seem to imply that there will be an online facility to monitor the account, otherwise......?

Be useful if that extended back to include Issue 4 :)

I can view my issue 3 and 4 online. I send the passbook in with the cheques each month.

That isn't very MSE if you don't mind my saying so!

I deposit by standing order and phone for confirmation of receipt a day or so after the due date and have my pass-book updated every few months when I'm near enough to the branch doing something else; it's 15 miles. Costing nothing.

The online facility must have passed me by, it was September last when I opened it.

PS: Customer Number applied for, coming by post.

At the moment you can only see your accounts online if one of them is a specifically online account. (Hopefully RS5 will be one of these)

    Was this for me?

I dont live anywhere near a Leeds branch, I have passbooks that are updated, and posted with a free paid envelope provided.

Paying by cheque means I can post it off four days before the 1st of the month, and the book is returned back updated.

I didn't gain online access till I open Issue 4, then I could view 3 as well to check when the last few payments were received before they closed access to it.

I will wait to see what appears on Monday.
