Best method to pay hotel costs

I have a slight dilemma that I was hoping the MSE community could help me with

I have a honeymoon to Japan coming up and from the sounds of it, our hotel will take the payment for the booking when we arrive.

I am fairly clued up on the do's and don'ts of spending abroad, but I am not too sure what to do in this instance:

Our overall hotel costs converted from Yen to Pounds are just under £10,000 (so a fair bit) and I don't know what payment method is best for this scenario.

I cannot use an overseas credit card because the credit limit is unlikely to be that high and most travel cards/cash passports don't allow you to put that much on a card.

Any suggestions?
