Hi all
Well as the title says i am DEBT FREE as of today!
I just wanted to say to all on MSE forums..... THANK YOU!
Your advice, criticism, help and comments have been so helpful and are the main reason i am where i am today. I was clueless about all things to do with debt etc until i joined here to ask for advice. Every comment, reply and criticism has sunk in and provided me with knowledge going forward.
There are sooooooooooooo many good knowledgeable posters on here, so to anyone just joining and at the start of the bumpy debt road... you are in the right place and please please take the advice on board as you WILL get to the end of the road with the help of everyone on here!!
Thanks again everybody, i love you all :T

enjoyyourshoes , I am about to start the process of saving and am trying to get myself in a position to get on the property ladder soon to provide a house for me, my partner and kids.
whattodo1967 it is a fantastic feeling, probably the best i have felt bar the birth of my kids
Ilona, thank you and as stated above i am starting to save for the first time in my life (im 29!!!). And yes this is definetly the way i am looking at finances these days. No loans etc for purchases, save the money and purchase!
milann, Thank you, and keep yourself going!! You WILL get there , i often thought there was no light at the end of the tunnel but now i have reached the end and it feels great im telling you!!
This has been a massive learning curve for me, i am actually quite happy that i went through this experience because it has taught me a LOT. I actually had some of the best times of my life without having money to do anything with. Just simple things like teaching my son how to play football and having the time to spend with him, which imo if i wasnt in debt i would be more tempted to do other things!
I got into trouble months before my first son was born, so it has been a massive struggle at times, i remember the week me and my partner had to feed 3 of us for a week on £18..... Which we did succeed but was bloody tough mentally. I now have 2 sons and it feels like my life is starting again, actually having money in my pocket to provide all the stuff they need without worrying where its coming from or what im not going to pay this month to fund anything needed.
Thanks again people, if anyone wants some moral support or advice please dont hesitate to message as im more than happy to help
