£15k to buy a new car

I currently own a 6 year old Ford Fiesta and I want to trade it in and get a new model. I’m undecided as to whether I get a new Fiesta model, which I have loved, or look at other similar brands, such as Nissan, Renault or Citroen. No kids so not bothered about room in the back. Be nice to get a car that stands out.

There's a reason the Fiesta has been best in class year after year. If you like it I'd stick with it. I assume you'll be looking at the "all new" 2017 models, just bear in mind that it's moved slightly upmarket and prices will reflect this.
  • If you want to stand out, surely buying a tedio-box from any of the big brands is the best possible way to ensure that isn't the case?

  • Decent car the fiesta. Though just because you have £15k to spend doesnt mean you should. Look at buying two years old and save about half the money.

I have a kitcar, that REALLY "stands out", I also have a Mondeo which does not stand out, driving the kitcar someone tries to kill me every single time I drive it, driving the Mondeo I get very little hassle on the roads........ I conclude that standing out is a bad thing.

Driving a small car attracts bullies, driving a small powerful car turns bullies into road ragers, driving a small powerful 25 year old car turns road ragers into complete and utter lunatics :(
