TSB CC Application - error

Hello,
Earlier today i completed an online credit card application for TSB - I was accepted and clicked through to continue when an error message came up. I called TSB who told me they had no record of an application and that It's probably because I used google chrome. They suggested I simply try again tomorrow...
Will this look negative on my credit rating? I already applied for another card this morning and was rejected! She said they have been having issues with chrome for months... I don't remember seeing anything on their website about this!

What stage were you at exactly when the message came up? The application may have gone through.
Stop making repeated applications for the moment. Multiple searches can be viewed negatively.0 -
I believe the application had been accepted, it told me what my limit would be, and said something along the lines of 'press continue to complete this the process'.
However when I called up I was told that there was no application.0 -
The call centre staff probably can't see the application system.
Give it a few days.0 -
If you have been accepted then by now I would expect to see the account in the list of accounts held within the TSB internet banking.0

If you were accepted you would have received an e-mail straightaway titled;
'Your credit card application was successful'

I find that hard to believe re blaming it on the web browser. I only ever use Chrome and used it to apply for a TSB platinum card and was accepted just fine / application progressed without a hitch.I'm a Board Guide on the Credit Cards, Loans, Credit Files & Ratings boards. I had an issue applying for the TSB Platinum card using Google Chrome last October. I received a 'technical error' message when trying to advance from the application accepted page.
No email for me either.
When I called they could see a partial application that they were unable to complete manually, but I could not apply again online due to having an application within the last 30 days.
I applied in branch and was accepted for the Classic MasterCard rather than the Platinum card.0 -
Glad to know I'm not the only one! Well i won't be going with them now, so they've lost a customer!0

Same for me applying for a TSB current account. Got accepted, along with the offer of an overdraft, then a technical fault. Thr call centre said to apply again using Internet Explorer, but because I've already made an application, it won't accept me, even though the first application wasn't successful due to their systems being defective.I consider myself to be a male feminist. Is that allowed?0

Apologies for the "Me Too" post, but just to say that I had a similar issue when applying for a TSB Current Account several months ago. I got all the way through the application, and received an error page right at the final step. In my case, the application had gone through successfully, and I received confirmation by e-mail, and documentation arrived in the post a few days later. I just never got to see the final confirmation page.0
