northern rock 6% isa now closed :(

northern rock 6% isa now closed :( has anyone else tried to sign up to this lately i have been told it has been closed :( i had to go for the fixed 5.5% 30 day instead :(

    I got the TOISA 6% at the beginning of Sept :) , BUT thought I would wait for the ISA transfers - big mistake ! I think they stopped the 6% around the 20th of Sept 04, dropping it in steps to the present 5.5%

    Your 5.5 - 30day ? Its more like 5.05% - Are you sure you don't mean the 4 year fixed which is 5.5% ?

    Best strategy now is to wait till Nov and see if interest rates rise, then lock them in at Northern rock or elsewhere, if better.

    I think 2005 year will probably see interest rates slide a little, though after 2005 is unknown
