I wonder how many threads on here have this title and are absolute nightmare stories? I hope mine turns out not to be.
So I had a contract with Vodafone a while ago and as they increased their price above the RPI I was free to leave which I did no problem, I transferred my number to 3 on a rolling contract and have been using them ever since. I have just checked my credit report and can see that Vodafone have a current contract for £0 per month on my credit file - is this normal / does this impact my credit at all?

Lenders won't be concerned by an agreement of £0 a month.
They'll almost certainly judge it to be affordable for you.0 -
Thanks for the response - is it something I should concern myself with? I know Vodafone are not one you want to poke the beast with so if it makes no impact then maybe I shall just leave it?0

I'm in the opposite camp of get the account closed by writing to Vodafone and asking them to close it with all 3 credit reference agencies.
Vodafone are an awful company (from reading on these forums) to deal with, last thing you want is some miscellaneous default / late payment marker / money owed appearing on your files somewhere down the line which you render the responsibility of having by keeping that account open.I'm a Board Guide on the Credit Cards, Loans, Credit Files & Ratings boards. I'm a volunteer to help the boards run smoothly, and I can move and merge threads there. Any views are mine and not the official line of moneysavingexpert.com0 -
Ask vodafone to close it and confirm it in writing to you confirming they have closed the accounts and that no balance is owed.0

I have got a similar problem.
Vodafone shows account up to date at 3 credit agencies with the balance of 9GBP. I have asked them twice to produce an invoice (or its copy) with the account nr, but no success. No idea what to do. The contract has ended approx 10 months ago and was not extended.0 -
