Plusnet Sim Only Offer

I'm having trouble getting the Plusnet sim only offer advertised on the MSE page (5gb data, unlimited calls and texts for £10 per month). I've gone through the whole ordering process and got as far as paying for the first month upfront, and then I get an error message.
Does anyone know if this is a problem with their site?
The only alternative I can see is that I've been declined due to my credit check, which seems very strange - I have 3+ years of paying my phone contract in full every month, a CC that I use and pay off in full each month, and no late payments or any other negatives on my file that I can see.
Does anyone have any suggestions?

What does the error message say?0

I've had this issue on more than one sign-up. Switch to another card for the initial payment has always fixed it. It always fails at that stage on one of my mastercards. a (few) others have reported this too on PN forums.0

I can't remember, sorry! It was just a general 'we've encountered an error' sort of message; nothing to say I'd been declined.I've had this issue on more than one sign-up. Thanks, that's really helpful. I'll give that a go and keep my fingers crossedThis is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
