GoSkippy Insurance

Has anyone had any dealings with GoSkippy insurance. I have had a really bad one, Customer service and their responses are as if they don't care.
I got a quote from money supermarket and GoSkippy was the cheapest, I have not used them before so thought why not. Anyway on my quote I missed out adding my partner and because I can only sort out my insurance in the evenings because of work it was the next day I could get through. Long story short to add my wife on to my policy, online quotes where coming up £200 cheaper than what their customer services was offering me. I basically said it would be cheaper to cancel and start again. That's when the trouble started. Has anyone else had similar problems ?

Making changes to an existing policy usually always involves extra cost.
But there should be no problem you cancelling and getting a new policy (or going elsewhere! Apart from the cancellation fees!0 -
I ended up opening a case using resolver, I have been charged a cancellation fee (they have now refunded that along with my deposit minus the number of days that the policy was live.
I am still disputing it though as I want a full refund because by the time I took out the policy and received the documents their offices had closed. The next day (eve) I called and waited 40mins just to be told to, use the portal and make amendments there to avoid charges. I even said that I do not have any options on the portal to make amendments and the reply was I will send you the link. once again by the time I got the link logged in looked for anywhere I could make amendments their offices had closed. So the next day I called again and got through, he then did a recalculation and came off with an amount that was 200ish more than a quote I had just got 9mins earlier online with the same company (GoSkippy and insurance company they was going to use) I said I have a Quote reference number here. He basically said its not valid and that out quotes change from hour to hour, so I said but this is from 9mins ago to which he replied, he was not trained to use a quote reference number and that someone will call me back, (which never happened) I said I might as well cancel then and get this cheaper quote online with the same insurance company which would be a waste of time.
His reply was if I want to cancel my policy I have to email cancellations.
I never received a call so the next day I cancelled and took out a new policy with another company paying out another deposit just to make sure my wife was covered.
Hence why I want a full refund. Plus that fact they have confirmed I cancelled on the 18th but still have charged to the 19th.
Does anyone thing I am being over the top with this as so far they have refunded me 105.46 out of the £116.810 -
Are you saying you're out eleven quid? Do you really want to effectively work for less than minimum wage for the time needed to get it back?0

lol.. It was the principle of how I have been dealt with. I cancelled on the 18th they have charged me up until the 19th. They 1st refunded me £75. then I had to argue to get the £35 cancellation fee.
When they did finally give me a breakdown of what I am being charged there is a £5 direct debit set up fee. So yes I want it all back out of principle.
Suppose now I sound petty lol0
