  • Thank you Ace and Jessy

Am dead tired tonight. Have been sleeping well but work is starting to get fairly boring and repetitive. I'm just over it.

Did put some meat in the fridge this morning to defrost but it's still rock hard and I hate microwaving meat so I'm thinking I will treat myself to takeaway nachos for dinner instead. :j

Spent $100 to get my iPhone battery replaced. at least it will last for more than 2 hours now.

I really need to get into some kind of exercising and am contemplating a gym membership once I start my new job. But it's so darn expensive and I just don't see myself ever going consistently. Hmm. My new job is a sit-down/desk job so perhaps I will feel more inclined to do exercise once I'm not having to stand up all day.

    Thank god tomorrow is Friday.
  • Which iphone, Velvet? My 5C is dying (battery runs down fast and I cracked the screen) and I'm trying to decide what to upgrade to. I don't want to buy one that needs a battery replacement though!

  • Ace mine is an iPhone 6. I just went to one of those places in the shopping centre. If you found someone who does it from home you could probably get it done cheaper :)
  • Good morning! :) (morning for me anyways)

It's Saturday here. Am trying to decide what to do with myself today. The shopping mall is calling my name. I really want to get a couple of new things before I start new job. Mainly some makeup, nail polish, a couple bits of clothes, pair of shoes, etc.

I've got the money to spend, I just really don't want to part with it. Also I am disappointed because I weigh about 5kgs more than I should. Which should be a small/easy amount to lose, but I just can't stop eating junk and sugar (probably due to emotional/stress reasons).

Thinking I might just put it off til next weekend.

See how motivated I feel once I actually get out of bed :p
  • Happy Tuesday, friends :)

Well Saturday was a flop. Didn't end up even leaving the house, was so tired and unmotivated.

My friend came to visit on Sunday with her two kids and we hit the shops. Went to TK Maxx and I found a sweater dress for $25 and a top for $18 so was quite happy with that. It's fun to finally be able to buy some clothes. That's all I ended up with as by the time we went to a couple of places, that kids were getting impatient. Then we had fish and chips in the park. Was a lovely day.

Yesterday at work was so exhausting and I was starting to feel a sickness coming on. I went to bed at 7:30 and I slept for almost 12 hours  Woke up feeling great this morning

Feeling smug because I didn't bust my grocery budget this fortnight :A

    Tomorrow is payday!! :T

Hello! (Good evening your time :) ).

I'm catching up and wanted to say 'Wow! Well done!' for the new job.:T:T:T When do you start?

You do seem to be tired and I think the fact that, at the end of the day when you get home, you just slump... that says you aren't suddenly going to find lots of energy. You really needed that sleep, didn't you? Could you either get up earlier and do a couple of jobs a day, or do Flylady-style and keep up with everything on the drip?

    Have a good night's sleep tonight. :)
I think a bit of sunshine is good for frugal living. (Cranky40)

  • Hello Cherry :) Thanks, my first day is the 28th Aug. I keep telling myself I will look into Flylady but I never do. So slack.
  • Happy Wednesday (night!)

I went to suss out a gym this afternoon. Hated it. Too loud and too many joining/cancellation fees/rules/etc. Now contemplating the purchase of some exercise equipment instead. :A

Today was payday. Transfers done and dusted.

    Updated totals

    Emergency Fund $2525 / $10,000
    Cruise Fund = $90 / ??
Misc Fund from working extra hours = $500
    :money::money::money::money::money:

Have decided that I will begin getting my full salary paid to my loan account and then transferring my grocery/spending money out every fortnight. Aiming to maximise loan offset and minimise the amount of transferring that I have to do. Just number shuffling in my spreadsheet.:p

I should really be off to bed..
  • Quick update from my bed. It's almost 10:30pm here. Am exhausted and house is extremely messy. Only two days left of work. Start my new job on Monday! I'm excited for the change but also a little nervous. Everything is moving so fast, year is flying by, etc. wish it would slow down just a little bit.

Have been feeling a bit under the weather lately. Had to go to the doctor as I developed a crazy looking rash all over my body. Turns out it's an after affect of having a viral infection. Which makes sense as although I've not been sick lately, have definitely been feeling very tired and quite run down.

Hurry up, weekend! I need a rest.
  • Aha, you've been working through a viral infection, no wonder you're tired. The weather doesn't help, if it's anything like it's been here (rain, rain and more rain, with a bit of hail to liven things up). Try and have a really quiet weekend, will you? New jobs are always exhausting for the first couple of weeks, you'll need an energy reserve.
