There are lots of people renting out their driveways by the day - do a Google search for something like "driveway parking".

Here you go - might be worth looking into.

    Maybe off topic but hey-ho.

A man walks into a New York City bank and says he wants to borrow $2,000 for three weeks. The loan officer asks him what kind of collateral he has. The man says "I've got a Rolls Royce -- keep it until the loan is paid off -- here are the keys." The loan officer promptly has the car driven into the bank's underground parking for safe keeping, and gives the man $2,000. Three weeks later the man comes into the bank, pays back the $2,000 loan, plus $10 interest, and regains possession of the Rolls Royce. The loan officer asks him, "Sir, if I may ask, why would a man who drives a Rolls Royce need to borrow two thousand dollars?" The man answers, "I had to go to Europe for three weeks, and where else could I store a Rolls Royce for that long for ten dollars?"

Thanks all, I tried to book but it did insist upon flight numbers in this instance and I didn't fancy lying so I've changed my plans and will drive all the way to my destination instead.

The parking at Heathrow T4 was around £30 for four days which I didn't think we too bad; the price I've paid for parking at my destination was significantly more. :(

I would have taken a train if I could but I am moving straight on to work after my trip (I work around the UK) and need the car for that.

    Thanks anyway.

Are you sure about that, it seems astonishingy cheap for Heathrow? I'd have expected it to cost in that region per day. I paid almost twice that for a similar amount of time at Birmingham airport, even after using a discount code and buying through Quidco.

Apologies, I told you wrong - it was around £40, not £30. Looked up so many carparks I lost track. Still cheaper than what I ended up paying in the end.
