Amazon Platinum Mastercard

Does anyone that has one of these cards have the correct details for making payments through their bank? I am with Halifax and the details supplied on my statement 09-01-09 01000007 bring up a number of different cards but none of them relate to the Amazon card.

I have also tried Bank of Scotland as I have accounts with them but they don't recognise these details as being for Amazon either.

Thanks in advance:)

I realise that but using the details they have supplied brings up 19 options starting with Asda credit card right through to Mothercare store card but nothing for Amazon.

Why don't you call them and pay over the phone and that way you can also ask them if they have the correct details on their website:

    i have one

    sort code : 090109
    account number is : 01000007

the reference for your specific account is not the card number but the one that appears on your statement begining with a 7 i beleive but will appear on your statement

if yor bank does not come up with the above sort code and account number then you will have to type them i manually

before you pay a new payee just pay a 1p first to make sure it goes through
  • By Internet or Telephone Banking - You'll need to provide your bank with our sort code 09-01-09, our account number 01000007, and your account number(this is the 16 digit number found on the top right hand corner of your statement, which is not the same as your card number).
  • Its usually on the card carrier and begins like 7365.....in top right hand corner like mine

Coincidentally I was going to make a faster payment from my Halifax bank account to my Amazon credit card today.

Halifax offers a hard coded list of payees for various commercial entities. It offer these account details if I select Amazon Mastercard from their list:

The back of my Amazon credit card statement shows these details for the account I should make payments to:

    Obviously different.

If I attempt to enter the details from the back of my Amazon card statement manually I'm told '8000001 : The sort code and account number that you entered are for a company. We've transferred you to the bill payment process' and asked to select from this list:

I guess I could choose a random card from the list.

Pretty confusing for the average banking customer and has obviously been ongoing for two years or longer.

Sadly Halifax doesn't offer an online messaging service. I might call them tomorrow, but I suspect I'll be treated like an idiot and doubt my message will reach the right person.
