Affordablemobiles.co.uk Deal - too good to be true?

We are trying to buy my son a Samsung Galaxy S7 Edge for his birthday. He is currently on a SIM only deal with GiffGaff and I've been looking at unlocked reconditioned models at about £340.00. I've seen a deal with Affordablemobiles.co.uk for £27 a month with no up front cost.
and if you add on his monthly Giffgaff it;s not much more expensive for a brand-new phone but I can't help feeling I'm missing something as the same deal directly through Three is so much more expensive. Any advice please?

Why a Samsung Galaxy 7 Edge ?
Its an expensive phone, saw a phone earlier on hukd for under £200.0 -
He has got his heart set on it and is putting some of his own money towards it.0

I am always wary of anything described as "re-conditioned", especially when it comes with perhaps only 90 days warranty.0

The affordable mobiles deal was for a new phone? It was reconditioned that was £340.I am always wary of anything described as "re-conditioned", especially when it comes with perhaps only 90 days warranty.
Prices are coming down on the S7 and S7 edge. £27 a month is not far off other retailers for a low allowance plan.0 -
PHK can you recommend any other retailer that is offering this phone for around £27 pm please?0

What sort of inclusive minutes/data does he require?0

He's 12 year old so not many minutes or texts but probably at least 2gb data.0
