Has anyone been through Stanstead early on a weekday morning recently.


I am flying out in 3 weeks on a Thursday morning for a 0735 flight. I have heard horror stories about queue times at security ?

It's peak time, Ryanair want to get all their planes in the air asap.
Perhaps look at the 1st class train ticket Bishop's Stortford to Stansted airport free fast track security trick.

To add to the above, if you are flying with Ryanair, the distance from security to the gates is one of the longest I've come across in Europe. The last time we used that airport, we arrived at 4:20 for a 6:05 flight, only had hand luggage, and had to run to the gate.

Blue264 that is what I thought and suspected. I am flying to Nuremburg for a tenner. What can you expect. LOL


Seriously I have been through the security in the afternoon and seem to recall 40 mins.


Might have to pay for the fast track.

Yes point made, it is early in the morning.


I travel through Prague from time to time and the security is at the gates. You get airside in minutes or less.


I never understand Stanstead for having long queues ?


Customers who get through quick have more time to spend ?


Not that I do although there is profit even on a bottle of water or a cuppa.


Gatwick south always seems quick and easy.
