Dreaming of a life after debt

Hi SSG, lovely to see you. Hope all is good with you:).
!pinx is a brilliant, not necessarily for getting a reduction but the urge to splurge goes... and I need all the help I can get:o
I skipped the electoral count test last night, I know it could have been a wee bit of extra money if chosen but I'm just tired & had such a blinding headache I would have messed it up anyway but I'm still down as a polling clerk.
I'm on a 1/2 day today as I have a food test thing in the afternoon and then therapy at 6 followed by volunteering at 7.30. I cant wait to this weekend to sleep. Next week my nights are almost my own but this week is manic.
Money front - pay day today, thank goodness ... my pots were very empty this month. First things first I have to pay another bit to our Xmas lunch & money for therapist. Saturday starts another 6 week yoga class to keep head screwed on.
Spending fast is struggling along.. I'm wild for impulse buys but I want to see my savings grow & debt shrink.
On train & only 2 more stops to go.. better get myself together:)0 -
Afternoon
Typical Sunday for me.. watching F1 and reading diaries. OH is just away to visit his brother who is currently in hospital. I did volunteer to go with him but he was happy to see his brother on his own.
My busy manic week is over .. yeah. It was lovely to catch up with ex colleagues on Thursday night but I was also very happy it was my last night out this week. I went and saw the kinesiologist on Wednesday and she was so lovely. She recommended 2 supplements - chromium and some sort of probiotic. I was asked to add foods to my diet rather than restrict foods so I'm going to give that a go. I must admit I'm feeling better for it but I know it's only been 4 days. I made a nice French onion soup yesterday from the suggestions she gave me and it is really nice (shocked myself) which will last for a few days and it is needed with the carppy weather we're having.
Yesterday was a flat out busy day typing up 3 sets of minutes from volunteer things during the week. Ironing my clothes mountain in the afternoon but I did manage a relaxing morning at yoga.
Money front - the therapist I'm seeing is really good but at £50 a time it isn't cheap but I have had ED issues for 17 years so I really can't begrudge the payments but boy I'm looking forward to being totally recovered and having my money back. I spent £100 on the therapist and kinesiologist (1 off appointment) this week. It was such a spendy week with £40 spent for my 6 week yoga class, £50 nephews birthday (sweet 16), £30 diesel and £40 groceries, £16.50 lunch out with work colleagues & £18.50 dinner out with ex colleagues. Grand total £294:eek: and that doesn't count all the direct debits which will be leaving my account on Monday. The only positive is that there was no frittering.
This week I have therapy and lunch out with a friend. On a positive note I'm below £3000 on my car loan so I now own 2/3rds of my car:)0 -

Morning
OH dear Seaside - it might of helped if I'd used the correct name- it saves to my favourites as !pinx but it's actually pricepinx.com - sorry. It does cut down spends for me.
So I've decided to get the slightly later train this morning so I can spend a wee bit extra in bed but I'm up and on the go now. I messed up my YNAB budget and decided to do a brand new refresh this morning. I ended up with more money in my current account than I had and rather than trying to figure it out I just started again.
Went for lunch with a friend yesterday and have another lunch scheduled in for next Tues. On the one hand it's great working in Belfast and I get to meet up with so many friends & ex colleagues but on the downside it's a wee bit expensive. I'm meeting friends for 1 quick drink on way home.
Last night I had a movie night with OH & nephew and we watched Despicable me 3 on his PlayStation...will have to babysit more to get to watch current movies
Tomorrow plans - yoga, volunteering and I promise to sort through my wardrobe and swap summer and winter clothes but to be honest there isn't that much difference0 -
Morning
I'm on my 1 coffee of the day 😀 & making plans for busy but fun day ahead. I wanted to pop into voluntary place to sign some forms but will leave it as it shuts at 1 & I would just be rushing.
Plans today -
9.30 to 11ish - yoga
11.15 to 12.30 - run (mentor for c25k group)
Home - shower
1.30 to 3ish meeting friends in Belfast
4 - 6 tidying & tackle wardrobe
6 - mass with mum
7 - feet up with OH
Popped into pub for 1 drink on way home & it cost me £18 for 3 drinks....even though I only had 1 - so expensive but you don't get people time back. I was leaving Belfast at 6pm & crowds were meeting me coming out of station to start their night. Gave some money to a homeless guy on way home.
Planning on having a wardrobe clear out as per ED councillor - if it doesn't fit or look good it goes to charity .... to be honest only a few bits don't fit but some stuff was bought because it fitted & nothing else. Wish me luck

:o Oh my goodness - confession time, I managed to fill 2 black bin bags with clothes that didn't fit or didn't fit right:o:o. Ok it's 7 years since I did a massive clear out but I was shocked. I took it all to charity (st v de p), before I had chance to reconsider. So my wardrobe is a lot more streamlined
but to be honest I still have enough to do me. Would like some black tops/vests (primark) to go under cardigans & a scarf but that's it.. i hope.:)
Yoga was nice and relaxing & it was lovely to see friends.
Today OH is going to visit bruv in hospital and I'm going to meet sister and nephews.0 -
Hi
House is neat & tidy and I have the fire on which is a bit early but wanted to be cosy for F1 starting. Annoyed as tv guy ruined the result for me....didn't even give a spoiler alert.
I've been doing the usual floating round in Diaryland and found a new one today from Shelbi and she sounded so much like me. I go at debt all guns blazing and I say I'm committing to spending fast and then a month later or even less the wheels fall off and the debt creeps up a wee bit. I need more discipline in my debt slaying as well as motivation and I need to just keep plugging at it. I'm doing well in that I've paid off 70% of my car loan in just over a year and although I want it gone by Feb 18 I think realistically it will be April/May 18. My credit card debt has gone up to £1460 and my target to clear it will be May 18. I have a policy maturing in January 18 of about £2000 and I was going to throw that at my debt but I think I will just keep it in savings as there is no interest in either of my debts.
Today I have removed my bank card from my Amazon account to give me time to really think if I need to do the purchase rather than hitting the 'iclick' button.
Spending fasts don't work for me as a bit like dieting I rebel at the thought of restriction.
OH is at the hospital with his brother and I don't think brother will be getting out of hospital soon. Doctors haven't given out results but it's not good.
I saw the therapist on Wed and she talked about diet plans and it made me really anxious, thankfully it passed and I'm more prepared for my session with her on Wed.
Plans this week - Work, lunch out with friends on Tuesday, 2 x C25k runs and other than that a bit of a boring week. On the good news front ....2 of my staff are back from leave and the pressure will hopefully start to lift of me.
I saw 2 Xmas ads this morning and got an email from M&S about pre-ordering their Xmas food ...bit too early for me & Xmas but I do love it.
Hope everyone has a good week.0 -
Oh dear Vettel is out ....that is going to make the next few races a bit boring if we already know Lewis has won the championship.
Ok lets put the debts down on paper again and focus on not increasing them...
Debts
Nationwide credit card - total today £1,460.90.This is 0% until November 2019. I am aiming to pay this off long before that!
Personal (Car) Loan - It's £2,956.44 today and I've cleared 70% but 30% to go.
Credit
Prolific - £16.22
Swag bucks - 532
Today I have:
Checked online banking
PADs - looking to see if the PAD thread still exists.
Swagbucks - get mojo back.
Prolific - check each morning on train on way into work.
