Yeah for payday. I’ve set aside £95 for groceries which I know is a bit tight but I did a big shop yesterday which should cover a good bit of the month. I’ve been to yoga, been to post office, done my ironing & tidied house

Morning
My body doesn't understand it can have another hours sleep so have been up for ages. My plan today is to go for a run with pup as soon as it is bright enough. I was trying to squeeze in a run yesterday but realised that running for me is about ‘me time’ & I love running in the morning so left it to today and am really looking forward to it.
Meeting mum at 10 for mass & then heading to OH family at 3 for lunch. It’s to remember his brother and say goodbye to another brother who lives abroad.
I have 2 sets of minutes to start drafting which I hope to start today. If I can just get a rough draft then they won’t seem so painful.
Hoping for an NSD today0 -
Morning,
I’m up super early as extra hour & body not aligned yet .
Yesterday’s run was amazing, not for any speed or my ability but because deer crossed our path twice during the run & pup was as good as gold sitting at my heels.
Went to OH family do & survived. I spent £7.79 on a bottle of wine as I didn’t want to turn up empty handed.
Was pondering my spending in November and I’m a bit skint again as I’m determined to get shot of my debt. My budget for grocery and odds & sods is going to be £160 this month. I’m not counting £70 set aside for diesel, my therapist money & £100 for weekend away for friends 40th (hotel paid & pressie bought already.) £160 should be doable but OH is talking about going out for dinner next weekend so that’s an extra expense.

Winter checklist @ 30 Oct
Clothes
[STRIKE]Wash all coats, scarves & gloves - need to find them[/STRIKE]!!
Repair or buy new socks - visit to Primark
[STRIKE]Check Wellingtons [/STRIKE]- have boots do same job
[STRIKE]Polish all shoes and boots[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Go back through clothing checking what I need and what I need to replace. Think - what will I wear - what do I need?[/STRIKE]
[STRIKE]Put away all your summer clothes in either those vacuum bags or in a suitcase for the following year.[/STRIKE]
Car
Buy in screenwash now - do I have any left?
Find ice scraper - should be in winter box but will check
Torch and batteries - hiding somewhere
Gloves hat and scarf - need to put back in car winter box
October make sure all fluid levels in cars are correct
Check tyre pressures and tread levels - OH
Clean car inside and out making sure car has good amount of wax which protect it from harsh elements and salt and grit on the roads which will cause rust.
If possible clean out your garage and put your car away each night - not possible as Uncle using garage for storage.
Food
Stock up on tinned products such as soup, rice pudding, baked beans and spaghetti. These items will keep as good store cupboard standbys.
[STRIKE]Check and clean out your freezer, make a list of what you have and what you need to buy in. Keep at least two loaves of bread in the freezer. A clean frost free freezer will work better than a ice capped one! [/STRIKE]
If anything crops up on BOGOF and it will keep/freeze for winter buy it and store it.
Create a 'stash cupboard' or area where you can put all of your extra buys away safely.
Batch make homemade soups and freeze. Good idea to do this now while fresh veg is plentiful and it will save on condensation during the cooking/prep during the winter months.
House and garden
Buy in your logs and coal now while cheap deals are on offer - work in progress
Clean your home - work in progress
Make door curtains to keep out draughts - 1 door to do.
Clean windows inside and out - done outside
Buy in cheap white candles in case of a power cut. Also keep a torch on standby and use in emergency. - have them somewhere
If you have oil try to make sure that your tank is stocked up by the end of October
[STRIKE]Buy in Flannelette sheets. - done[/STRIKE]
Cut back everything in the garden late October to give your garden a big boost the following Spring. Roses love this! - Hedge cut & lane trimmed end of August.
Clean Your carpets on a good warm day so that they have a good chance of drying quickly
Drain any outside taps and protect and cover either with an old towel and then covered over with plastic or buy a proper outside tap cover.
Re-silicone shower areas where the silicone has turned black or mouldy, take it out and redo it. Easy job but so often overlooked. Having the window open also allows the silicone to cure or go off be.
Check lightbulbs and outside security lighting if broken replace or repair - front light needs replaced.
Buy in batteries now.
Put food out for the birds they will so thank you for it. Buy in their food now while it is plentiful.
Get your paracetamol, throat lozengers and cough mixtures in now, when you are feeling ill the last thing you want to do is traipse down to Boots having to get it in.- check dates as I have some from last winter.
I didn’t think I had anything done on the list but I have a few things started. If it is dry this weekend I plan on sorting out garden, clearing gutters & replace outside light.0 -
Wow what a list Munchin. You’re a regular little whirlwind! It’s good you’ve sorted out your Xmas budget.
Hope things have settled down a bit with OH’s family. The meal to remember him may help with some sort of closure for the family and was a nice idea.
Your running is going well. Lovely to be able to exercise with so much wildlife around you. Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟

Thanks Seaside - I’m great writing lists but actually sticking to them is another thing
I didn’t mention that my Uncle passed away on Sunday. We used to visit him & his family as kids but that fell away to seeing him at weddings & funerals. OH & I went to his wake last night and it was happy/sad occasion. I’m hoping the grim reaper moves away now but as my Mum says the last of dads family are poorly.
I had a real chest squeezing anxiety thing yesterday and it’s lingering today. It happened after I got back to desk as my boss had left me an email demanding work to be done for the head of the organisation which I panicked about & then mum rang at same time telling me about Uncles wake plans - all coming at me at once freaked me out. Doctor gave me some anxiety meds but as this hasn’t happened in a while I can’t find the stupid things and I’m reluctant to take them anyway.
I got sorted with the work problem & hopefully by being more mindful I can get the anxiety to lift.
Today I need to phone dentist and change time of my appointment, survive an intense meeting, have fun with trick or treaters tonight and watch the final of GBBO 🍩🎂:)

Morning
Not a good start to morning as pup had a runny tummy from too many treats last night ...so had that to clean up🤢. Then when I was ready to go out door I took a fit of coughing & tried to drink some water and then was sick 😷. I managed to sort myself out and get the train but not sure if I have a tummy bug or just was sick from coughing so much. I know I should have gone back to bed but have an email that has to issue today, so I will see how I feel as day progresses. Self care out window:o.
Sorry to continue the moan but only got 4hrs sleep last night & it’s been like that since Sunday...early home today & then early to bed.
Happier note we were at Mums last night for Halloween so good craic with family:).
Money front - Pinch punch first of the month and all the direct debits have shot out of my account like wee greyhounds. I spent £5.51 yesterday on tea/coffee for a meeting in work - will not get it back.

I’m sorry to hear about your uncle Munchin - especially after the sad news of OH’s brother. Still pleased that you enjoyed Halloween with your family - it’s good to have that time.
Everything seems to have taken its toll on you the last few days - perhaps a quiet day off at home to recharge your batteries is in order? Finally Debt Free! - July 2016 🌟
