TV licence for Amazon video purchase

My TV licence expires at the end of June. I've made the no licence required declaration and the TV is going. Whilst reading through the declaration cow-poo I noticed it said that you can't use iplayer even through sites like Amazon.
Just to clarify. If I buy Dr Who episode 12 for £2.49 from Amazon (due on BBC the day after my licence expires) do I need a TV licence. Amazon lists the release date for Episode 10 as the 17th of June, which was last Saturday, the day it was shown on the BBC.

The TVL is only needed for Live TV, and catchup using the Iplayer.
The content you buy from the likes of Amazon Video is not live, nor is it on the Iplayer, it's a purchase through the Amazon site and thus no TV licence required.
You would only need a TVL is you were using say a Fire TV box or Fire Tablet to run the Iplayer app (Amazon Video, Netflix, ultraviolet etc don't require one).0 -
I understand that this isn't iplayer but its pushing it a bit when I can watch a BBC program within what looks like minutes of it being broadcast.
Funny old world.
