Quick word of warning you might wish to follow up/check out at some point.... once you've got your paperwork you'll still need to approach each bank to see their processes for how they handle it.
I'd got the PoA and thought that was it.... and was simply using mum's debit card ... as things progressed and I went into the branch for something they explained that I had to "register" the PoA with them and they'd then issue me with my own cheque book and card. So it might be worth just double checking how each bank manages such a situation. There wasn't a "problem" with me using mum's card ... it's just that's not the way I was supposed to be doing it. I should have my own PoA card, which they then set up without any bother.0 -

Thanks PN, certainly very handy information.
We're hoping we won't have to use them but you just never know and at least we are prepared. We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.

1/ £5k cheaper than mine (reduced last week), mid terrace/small garden/no sun. Has a garage. On an estate. 2 beds. 600 sq ft. 25 years old.
2/ Mine. 2 beds, 1 allocated spot, large garden and side, end terrace. 8 years old. 750 sq feet.
3/ £5k dearer than mine (reduced 2 weeks ago), semi, garage/storage, 3 beds, open plan rooms. ~40 years old. 670 sq feet
All different layouts.
Some want that parking/garage, some want layout, some want bedroom numbers, some want overall size.... and some want something elsethat magical "feels right when you walk in"
Does the 670 sq ft include the garage/storage?No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0 -

Floorplans/areas don't, as a general rule, ever include any outside spaces or garages.
Locally they include integrated garage and even garden office in the total square footage.I think....0 -

Well, they released dad. Goodness knows when he will be called back, diabolical treatment when they discharged him so may well be getting in touch with PALS.We made it!
