We had an old suitcase that's bigger than the bin to get rid of. The angle grinder soon reduced it into small enough pieces. No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?0

Evening all. I'm going to restrict my internet usage for this month as part of a social media detox. So if I'm not around much, that's why. Have a great month and see you in October... or before if my will doesn't hold up!Please stay safe in the sun and learn the A-E of melanoma: A = asymmetry, B = irregular borders, C= different colours, D= diameter, larger than 6mm, E = evolving, is your mole changing? Contract with the estate agent?
It is the first step, but remember it doesn't commit you to selling.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. This pack says ½"-¾" tap adaptor, which sounded like "that should do it" to me.
It should do it.
If you want help rather just to vent, we need some photos.

Right - it's working. Hose connectors on, tap connector on, other end on, new window pole connector on .... turn on the water and water flows out - and there's no leaking.
Just need to screw the pipe connector into the bottom of the pipe (which fits/works as it came like that) - then get round to the bit where I fancy doing the job.
New thought.... if this is water.... how on earth would one get soapy water up there? I guess the answer is, you don't..
I think I'll leave it at that stage for now. Don't need to wash the windows .... just needed to know it all fitted and I didn't need other bits.
Edit - just worked out how you make soapy water.... turn the water off, spread soap on the washer thing .... get it up to the window and turn the water on... I think there's an on/off on the pole, so potentially achievable by one person. OR: Just have a separate bucket of soapy water and dunk the mop end in that and spread it over the windows with the water off
I'm getting good at this "home owning lark"
I am guessing that a stop connection has an automatic valve that only lets water flow if it is connected to something else so you may want it at the other end then if you disconnect from the washer pole the water stops without you turning the tap off?I think....0 -

Or more usually pees water out from every joint, before blowing off the worst one to get at!0 -

Was going to say this. Tap on at one end and off at the other, pressure builds up within the tap and whoosh...the weakest joint falls apart and water sprays everywhere.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Been struggling today to keep motivated... it's my final day to "get it vaguely ship shape", which means "hide stuff away"... good storage cupboards are lacking in so many houses. Stuff boxed up and stacked in rooms isn't a good look... but unavoidable as I've nowhere to put the few I've not managed to hide.
I still need to sort out (again) the understairs cupboard to be able to get the vacuum in it... I usually just leave it out and plugged in as I vacuum the bit where I've been every day.
I really need a watertight shed just to lob stuff intoMy existing shed is full of the usual things, like a bike and a lawnmower ... and the leftover paint ... and a bag of decorating implements ... the rotary washing line, garden tools and a pop up thingy and the two new bags I bought ... and other stuff one keeps in a shed as it's "handy"... can barely get in there.
I fitted the lamp shade reducer rings... I was exceedingly wobbly up that ladder ... but lived.
Did a mini tip run; having prepared the table/chairs for a photo shoot ... there was one broken/ropey one loitering, so (to avoid other jobs) I took that to the tip.
I've washed the floor of the entire downstairs... and hand dried it. I think it "looks worse" and I'll have to go over it again "buffing" a bit
I had another small go with the window washer, on different windows... that was all right. Still got to wrap the hose up ... not sure where to put that to be honest.
All hot and bothered now.
t some point I have to tackle and tidy "the broadband hub and leads and extension lead and all the leads coming out of there for the PC, monitor ... and the leads joining all those bits together"... I really need an empty box, but I've binned all those in the past tidying sessionsHave to pop to Lidl. I'll just stand it on its side shove all the bits in there, then throw something (not sure what yet/got nothing) over the box... it's behind a unit, but visibly a mess.
