It's not just noise .... it's intrusion, squealing, constant screaming, fighting, arguing, footballs, arguments, chasing, trespass, stone throwing.... and a seemingly omnipresent mass of seething bodies all with skates, bikes, balls, etc.... and all "where they shouldn't be/shouldn't be playing at all" ... and nobody saying "No!".

    Did you do all that?

Current Status: FunnyGirl left the area with her new best mate an hour ago... but now they're back ... and screaming... up to 2.5 hours starting now of them chasing around, squealing, running over the road in front of fast moving cars ... "just 2" today, "just 2.5 hours" today ... make that 8-12 for up to 8 hours ... and that's how it was last year.

EDIT: Right now FunnyGirl's on somebody's wall, looming above the chap's kitchen bay window if he's in that room. His wall... not hers... glad it's not mine. He needs to suffer though as last year he rented his house out and I got the two "omnipresent skaters" ... so "HA!"

I don't recall mine throwing stones..... So, not all of the desiderata on your list.

It could be a perfectly respectable area, yet you could have our noisy family on one side, and Michael's children playing basketball on the other.
No reliance should be placed on the above! Absolutely none, do you hear?

I had just decided that today my focus would be on a tiny bit of weed snipping and to splash brown stuff on one fence and the gate... just went out there to "clear the area" - but it's been drizzling, so I'll wait. I'd hate to get all geared up and the pot of fence liquid opened ... and the fence started, only to have to run for cover if it rains ... and not be sure when it could be finished.

Kitchen clock is expected today/tomorrow... hope it looks good once up.

EDIT: It's peeing down.... big, fast, raindrops. Real soakers.

Trouble is - I'm spending all my GUAG on this house... come the next one it'll be "Usual Service is Resumed".

There's a lot that's RIGHT about this house ....and a lot that's wrong and some that's niggly ....

There's a thing today in the DM about taking pebbles off a beach.

Some beaches are "more special/protected" than others though, where the rocks/pebbles on the beach are part of "its remarkable features".

So, when nicking them, you do have to bear in mind where you're nicking them from, to make sure it's not one of the "very special places"

Yes, I think this was the "Barbecue summer" we were told to expect last year :D

It's been the best summer I can ever remember even up north. It's cloudy today, but still warm. Loads of people were wearing jackets today, totally unnecessary in my opinion.

    Love that pig! :)
Being lopsided made me wonder if it's related to the wild haggis. The clockwise variety. :rotfl:

Also, surely there's a children's book in that pig?
"The Adventures of Lonny the Lopsided Pig". :T

Blimey, Pastures! Do you keep a weather diary?
I can never remember what it was like yesterday, let alone three weeks ago!

Well, am exhausted. Had a very nice day in a nearby historic market town, mooching round the little olde worlde shops, including the charity shops, had a nice, tasty lunch in a little cafè with a friend, bought a couple of county flags, as my current one is getting a bit dog-eared, (I like flags!), and had a pleasant, breezy walk by the little river, then sat and had a delicious ginger ice cream from a local ice-cream company.
Picked up a couple of nice tops from charity shops, plus some liquorice cuttings.
Oh, and got a bill paid at the bank as well.

(Popped into Sainsbury's on the way back, so am totes wiped now :D).

Hopefully, I'll sleep better tonight.......didn't get to sleep until 1 last night, but still woke at four.

Edit...... and NO! I DON'T have a flagpole, before I'm given some posh alert grief! :rotfl:

More a fully OCD/obsessional note document, kept for about 15 months now... who is where... doing what ... what's parked, who's coming/going, when ... hoping I could start to spot behaviours and patterns and to help me see/predict when "trouble might be imminent" :)

I can tell you precisely when Wally's car was moved from their spot ... who was present ... and where they put it .... and I also know it's still there now... :)

Could be useful if a crime is ever committed..... you'd be a fantastic witness! :)

Could also be evidence in a divorce case! :rotfl::rotfl:
